Dogs are not allowed in the home
Herman Melville’s ArrowheadBeautiful area to roam with your dog. Also allowed in to the gift shop but unable to go in Melville’s home. Although would of been surprised if dogs were allowed in, dogs are only allowed on grounds and in gift shop but not to explore the home.

Good spot for our dog
Legal C BarThere are both shade and sunny spots depending on your preference. We have gone there several times with our dog and each time the dog is welcomed and given a bowl of water-sometimes iced on warmer days!

Excellent Restaurant
Berret's Seafood Restaurant & Taphouse GrillOur pup Lexie was very welcomed at this restaurant. Brandon our server. He was not only excellent despite being busy but was very attentive to Lexie. It was a cool night but the patio was warm and the food was excellent (we had the duck and grouper). At the end Brandon gave us a small bottle of Cristalino brut for being caring pet owners. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Beautiful spot
Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State ParkWe went for the first time without our dog and biked around the Prairie. It was winter but nonetheless it was beautiful. There’s more to explore and would go back this time with our dog. There was a ranger on duty who was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the prairie. Also supposed to be a stunning place to go for stargazing. Beyond this I would suspect that it would be a great place to watch a distant storm. Love to see it in the spring and fall
