  Nice hike on a cool day

  We went at sunrise and also on a cloudy day and it was wonderful! The path is mostly exposed with no shade so I couldn’t imagine doing it on a hot, sunny day. For us, the pavement was nice and cool and there are trash cans along the path for pet waste. The view at the top is really pretty. It took 30-40 minutes to get to the top.

  Do not bring your dog on this hike

  Great it has rubbish bins! The asphalt is way to hot for the dogs. It doesn't matter if your dog is in great shape, it is too hot for them. My dogs flesh was burned off her paws within minutes. My friends dog did the hike but at the end collapsed and they couldn't bring her body temp down. Everyone passing by was dumping their water on her. Pay attention when your dog is trying to dart away it's because they are looking for shade because they are too hot! This hike IS NOT dog friendly unless around sunrise or evening after the asphalt has cooled.

  Easy Trail for Dogs and Their Humans

  This was the first hike we ever took our 1 year old dog on. It's a really easy hike and the trail is paved all the way up. It is also a very wide trail, about 10 feet across so you don't have to worry about you or your dog possibly falling off.
