  Best way to visit DC

  I enjoy the city by scooter and tricycle with Barry!!
  I did it last July
  I had only one day to visit DC he took me to very cool spots. I did the scooter ride and was super fun and cool!
  Safe, fun, cool, nice… super happy at the end of the day! I have very nice pics lol. Highly recommended

  Fun for EVERYONE in the family!

  1000% Recommend to anyone visiting DC.
  Our Tricycle Tour was THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip!
  It was a Fantastic Tour around DC! I brought my two young sons (4&6) to DC for the first time; I wanted this trip to be memorable. Our guide was helpful and SUPER accommodating with me and my boys, he was easy to schedule and he even helped me find a parking spot. He tailored the tour to our family's needs, and made each stop fun and interesting for young children, we truly couldn't have asked for a better experience! We all had such a BLAST!
  It was a little chilly, but our guide was so entertaining we barely noticed the chill. My boys are still talking about how much fun they had with our fantastic guide; he really did have them cracking up the whole time weaving silly jokes and goofy antics in with fun facts about DC. I don't even think they realized how much they were learning. He even took some phenomenally silly photos for us, he knew the best spots for kids pictures.

  From my 6 year old:
  Our guide was funny, he told us jokes that made us laugh. Going down the hill really fast was thrilling! I liked the things he brought us to see. My favorite stop along our tour was the Treasury. Our guide was hilarious, I want to go back to DC again. He must be a mushroom, because he's such a FUNGI!

  From my 4 year old:
  My favorite thing that we saw was that bird sculpture. I liked it when he peddled really fast, and he was pretending we were going to eat him up, that made me laugh a lot. Our guide told good jokes, he was funny.

  Amazing tour, especially with a pup

  This was a spectacular tour of DC and it was especially great being able to bring a dog along. Barry helped us to know what parts of DC were pet friendly, gave us great detailed information on DC and all the monuments, and catered in specific we were interested in. Would definitely recommend, great way to enjoy the outdoors, see DC, and take the dog for a ride.

  The BEST tour EVER!!!!

  After walking around downtown DC all day on one of the hottest days this summer, we had the ABSOLUTE PRIVILEDGE of taking an evening tricycle tour with Barry and Adventure DC Tricycle tours. Barry took us out during the "golden hour" and drove us around to see all the monuments lit up after sunset. It was truly magical!! We had seen most of the sites earlier in the day but not like this. Barry customized the tour based on what WE wanted to see and added in his own little hidden gems that ended up being some of our favorite parts of the whole evening. The "limo cab" of the tricycle very comfortably seated our family of four and left plenty of room for our pup Lilly to join us. Barry provided water for us and Lilly and even offered to stay with her while we walked up to some of the monuments. This is 100% the BEST way to see DC, with or without a pup! Barry's knowledge of DC history and facts and the best places to see off the beaten path made this tour the highlight of our time in the Capital. I seriously cannot recommend this enough! Very, very pet friendly and SO much fun!!

  DC Pedicab Monuments and Memorials Tours with the Coolest Tour Guide Ever!

  We had a private tour booked with Barry on Monday, 7/5/2021. From the moment we booked with him to the moment he we met him, his communication with us was spot on! He met us at our arranged location outside a convenient metro stop and had the "limo-sized" pedi cab there waiting! The cab itself was spacious and comfortable! Barry was incredible. He was welcoming and cool and made us feel at home and like a long-time friend upon our first meeting him. We kicked the tour right off and Barry's knowledge and passion for the DC Monuments and Memorials shined through within seconds. It was my first time touring DC and on a VERY hot summer day, the pedicab was the perfect way to see everything but also enjoy a cool break in the shade while getting to the next area. We not only learned history about each area we visited, we also heard cool DC stories and random facts and knowledge about the area that Barry has picked up and experienced in his time in the city...something we never would've gotten in another tour. I cannot recommend this tour enough. If you want an experience in DC like nothing you'll get elsewhere...one where you will feel relaxed, at home, share a lot of laughs, and leave with a ton of knowledge then book with Adventure DC Tricycle Tours and Barry. And splurge for the limo pedicab...it is worth it!

  Dog and kid friendly way to see DC

  On short notice we called and booked a private tour with Barry for two adults, two kids and our dog in their limo cab. We were traveling through DC for the day with our dog and it was going to be a 90 degree day. I knew the kids and our 14 yr old dog would not be too happy walking miles on the National Mall to see as much of the outdoor sites as we could. Barry was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable cracking jokes and keeping the kids engaged. He even stayed with our dog at the places that didn’t allow dogs to enter, giving her water and potty breaks. This tour was the perfect choice for all of us! We got to see so much in a short period of time! Highly recommend!!

  BEST DC TOUR EVER!

  This was the best day of our Washington DC trip because of this amazing tour -- and we all got to ride around Washington DC on a tricycle! The tour guide entertained the family with engrossing stories and facts. I really can't say enough about this experience.

  A couple of things you should be aware of, in case you're thinking about booking with them (which you should!). At the time of this posting, Adventure DC Tricycle Tours:
  1. Allows for Easy postponement
  2. Charges no cancellation fee

  For those worried about rain (or other bad weather), the weather was not on our side either. But they suggested changing our tour date allowing for warm sunny skies instead of cold rain. And they had complete covering that could be added to the cab if the weather got cold.

  We had so much fun being shown around DC learning about the memorials and getting fascinating insights. Our fantastic guide narrated the whole tour and customized the route based on our interests. We saw a LOT in a short period of time.

  To answer a couple of question:
  * Is it Kid-friendly? YES! And our kids loved it.
  * Does it get too hot with the sun beating down outside? No. Everyone is canopy-protected from the sun, and there's more extensive protection if it the weather gets bad.
  * Is this a customizable tour? YES! It's completely customizable.
  * Is this tour good for families? Absolutely. As the creator of "A Sailor's Wife" Blog I am always on the lookout for family-friendly activities, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Both the adults (me and my husband) and the kids loved it.

  Summary: HIGHLY RECOMMEND
