Allaire State Park & Historic Village

Allaire State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area in Wall Township, New Jersey. History loving hounds will enjoy the 19th-century iron making town, Allaire Village, and its antique steam trains on the Pine Creek Railroad. Another section of the park that is popular is the Manasquan River, which winds through it. Anglers and recreational boat users can often be found on the banks and in the water. There is lots of native wildlife to be found here too. You'll discover lots of trails when you visit. Be sure to bring Fido's leash and bags to clean up after them. Family campsites 1-8 are pet-friendly, so you and Fido can stay overnight together and keep exploring the next day. All of the events at the park are pet-friendly, but dogs are not permitted inside any of the buildings. The park is open every day of the week from 8am to 8pm. Visit Website

    Watch out for ticks.

Allaire park is teaming with ticks in the summer. I took my dog here and she got covered in tiny little baby ticks. I brought her to Brielle Animal Clinic and Dr Spangle said the park is notorious for tick infestation. PROCEED WITH CAUTION
