Allaire State Park

Allaire State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area in Farmingdale, New Jersey. History-loving hounds will enjoy the 19th-century iron-making town, Allaire Village, and its antique steam trains on the Pine Creek Railroad. Another section of the park that is popular is the Manasquan River, which winds through it. There are lots of native wildlife and trails to be found here too. Be sure to bring Fido's leash and bags to clean up after him. Family campsites 1-8 are pet-friendly, so you and your pup can stay overnight together and keep exploring the next day. All of the events at the park are pet friendly, but dogs are not permitted inside any of the buildings. Visit Website

    Watch out for ticks.

Allaire park is teaming with ticks in the summer. I took my dog here and she got covered in tiny little baby ticks. I brought her to Brielle Animal Clinic and Dr Spangle said the park is notorious for tick infestation. PROCEED WITH CAUTION
