Fair Park Dog Park

Nashville Fairgrounds is now home to a dog park. This popular entertainment complex has a flea market, a speedway and hosts lots of events, but we're mainly interested in the brand spanking new dog park that they've just added. This is just part of the $275-million project that includes a Major League Soccer stadium. The car-themed, fenced-in park has agility tires, benches to relax on and AstroTurf that allows dogs to play whatever the weather. The park is open weekdays from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Visit Website

    Friendly people and pets

Address listed is wrong it’s a few minutes from downtown put “Fair grounds dog park” in maps. The park is sizeable with toys to play but there’s lots of poop left behind. Sprinklers go off at 11am and 2pm for cleaning the turf but it can’t always wash away the messes that aren’t picked up. If your dog is a jumper it will be able to jump over the wires that block off the plants and dirt. Lots of nice people I just wish the park was more cleanly.

Great location but tends to be overcrowded

We use to love taking our GSP to this park when it first opened, but lately it’s been very overcrowded which leads to aggressive behavior in a lot of the dogs. best to go on weekdays during “off” hours or late evening/early morning on weekends.

    Brand New

park is on the corner of Bransford Av and Craigshead St. There are several items in an obstacle course, a swimming pool and entry of water dishes. Bring your own ball and toys. A clean restroom is across the driveway. Con: several piles of poop were left behind on the turf.

Great turf park for active and passive dogs

The fairgrounds park has 2 areas, posted for active and passive dogs. The passive area tends to be mostly smaller dogs, but all sizes are in the active part of the park. The park surface is turf, some bark, some rocks, and concrete sidewalk. Some owners are not great at picking up their dogs poop, but aggressive and wild dogs (and owners) are extremely rare. Pre-COVID I was here twice a day
