    Abandoned

This dog park is poorly maintained. A big mess. They could at least mow down the weeds every once in a while. No bags provided for waste. Easy to step in filth since weeds are so tall it can be hard to see.

The big "All Dog" area in the back and the "Small Dog" areas are locked up atm.

The "Big Dog" area is open but it's gross. Overgrown with weeds over a foot tall. Looks like it hasn't seen a maintenance person since before the pandemic. My dogs sniffed out a snapping turtle about the size of a dinner plate but you couldn't see it skulking around in there due to all the weeds being so tall. Dangerous.

Sad. This place could be really nice and the all dog area is really big and looks like it has Bermuda grass, but what is available right now is disgusting. I would be embarrassed if I were in charge of this place.

    Big Dog Park

There are 3 sections to the dog area, a small dog section, a big dog section, and then both have gates that lead to the all dog section. The all dog section is nice for the most part but the county does a bad job at upkeep. large holes, full garbage cans of dog poop, piles of dog poop that yes should be picked up by the owners but they often neglect to do it. If the county paid a little more attention to the park it could be an amazing place.

    Great Park But Couple Bullies

I have a 7 month old smaller pup and it’s a great place for the most part. Small dog area, big dog, and all dog field. problem is there’s a couple regular bully little dogs that rule the small area. usually the all dog field has decent big dogs but when it’s full she gets overwhelmed, fine, I get she’s small so I respect that but she can’t play in either because of the bullies in the small. we love this park because we can walk the trails and go on the pier or go to the dog park, I can’t go for the moment. great for big dogs though! some awesome people there and the big guys have a great time!

    Mixed feelings about this place

So ive been bringing my large dog here for about 8 months now, and i am never going back again. Im not sure why but too many people bring aggressive dogs. Today my dog was trying to play with a puppy and the owner demanded i get my dog away and then my dog comes back bleeding! My dog has been snapped at multiple times and the owners justify the behavior. Not sure who to report this to but if you plan on taking your nice dog here, prepare for a dog to bite it. It is a small community at this location so those dogs often go daily. And people who are wondering if they should bring their aggressive or under socialized dog, please dont. Ive seen too many dogs bite at this location and im very upset that those dogs still return. Additionally, my dog started loosing her fur after coming here, i dont think anyone treats the area so be warned. It used to be a nice place to go but ever since my dog grew, people do not like her near their dog in the mixed dog area. She has never snapped never bit and I've never even heard her growl in her lifetime. They also need signs to tells others no aggressive dogs in the park area. I now have to find a farther dog park. Terrible owner initiatives, many mosquitoes, fleas, and too many aggressive dogs.

    Big AND Small Owners

I have a giant breed pitbull mastiff and a tiny breed Chihuahua mix so I have a really tough time trying to find a dog park that doesn't separate by size. The description isnt clear that there are 3 areas; one for big, one for small and one for everyone!!! So perfect for my strange duo. Love this park!!!!

    Why pay more...

Why pay $2 when there's a free dog park just down the road in Tarpon Springs?

    Problems

I have taken both of my dogs there last year and my Aussie was very itchy and then started loosing hair took her to the vet and she got an "allergy"?? My other dog was fine. I waited one yr to take them back and again mu Aussie is very ithcy losing hair again within one week aftter we have been there again. She brings her ball and we play catch, this year I brought their own bowl for drinking water. What gives? I spray my yard for fleas etc. not sure what or if they treat the parks there. Now I have to take my Aussie back to the vet for this condtion of losing hair, itchy...we are NEVER going back there again. Nice park sizess and weights of dogs divided but I cannot afford to give my Aussie the xtra running there if I am going to have vet bills later. Since her visit last year she has been on Comforts, and takes an allergy pill daily. Now I am putting iching ointment on as well until I see the vet. Thanks Anclote Dog Park for extra expenses I do not and cannot afford again. But as last year I will FIND away. Maybe someone should check that park or at least give it treatments for fleas etc.
