'Behind the Scenes of Shem Creek Shrimp' is a pet-friendly Airbnb Experience hosted by Bryan. You and Fido will be guided on a walking tour of Shem Creek, hearing its history and culture of shrimping and seeing the industry at work. See sites such as Old Village, oceangoing shrimp trawlers, and Geechie Seafood, sample some key lime pie, and even try your hand at casting a net or crab line. The experience lasts 2 hours and can accommodate up to 10 guests ages 4 and up. Guests should be able to comfortably walk a mile as this is a walking tour that covers several locations. Great tour of a beautiful area outside of historic Charleston
Bryan was an intelligent, knowledgeable and personable guide. We really learned many new, interesting things about the beautiful Shem Creek area and shrimping/shrimp. In addition, he was very considerate of our dog - he brought a bowl and water for him and checked on our dog's and our comfort regularly (it was a hot day). We would highly recommend a tour with Bryan (he does several different ones and we hope to take another one in the future). Wish I could give him more than five bones.
