Kiawah Beachwalker Park Kiawah Beachwalker Park is a dog-friendly beach in Kiawah Island. From March 16 through October 31 dogs must be leashed at all times. From November 1 through March 15 dogs are allowed to be off leash. However, the owner must remain with their pet and have a leash in their possession. Pets must be leashed if requested by another beachgoer or by Beach Patrol. the park is located on the west end of Kiawah Island, and offers ocean frontage and a river views along with the only public beach access on the island. The park is operated through a cooperative agreement between Kiawah Development Partners, Charleston County Council, and the Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission.
