With 40-square blocks and hundreds of old homes and mansions, Old Louisville counts as one of the nation's largest historic preservation districts. Walking a little over a mile, tour-goers are introduced to beautiful residential enclaves such as St. James and Belgravia Courts while beholding impressive examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, Chateâuesque, Beaux Arts, and Renaissance Revival architecture.       Great Historical Tour with your pup

      We had a great time on this tour. We weren't sure about bringing our pup because Viator (the site you use to book the tour) indicated that service dogs were allowed....BUT my dog, Vinny, was given a warm welcome by Gabe, our tour guide. The tour goes around several blocks of beautiful homes. If you like historical architecture, you will love this tour. And if you just like learning about the history of the area, seeing beautiful homes, seeing lovely gardens and parks and simply wanting a nice walk with your dog (like me), you will also enjoy this tour!

      Fun way to see the city

      Had a fantastic tour with David. He is a wealth of knowledge about the area and the houses. No issue bringing the dogs along- it was a leisurely pace and only 90 minutes so not overly strenuous but got them outside of the VRBO for a few hours!
