E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park Let your pup enjoy an off-leash romp at Sawyer Dog Park, located in the E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park. Cochran Hill Dog Run Cochran Hill Dog Run is a dog-friendly, members only park in Louisville, KY at Cherokee Park. Pets love the chance to play off-leash at this fully-fenced dog park! The two-acre area is divided into a one-acre small dog area and a one-acre area for all dog use. The park also features baggies for cleanup and water for dogs. The Barklands at Beckley Creek Park The Barklands of Beckley Creek Park, the first off-leash dog park within The Parklands of Floyds Fork, is open to members of the Louisville Dog Run Association. The bark park is positioned on the northwest corner of the Egg Lawn. You’ll know you’re there when you see the fire hydrants and large bone in the pavement at the entrance. The dog run features three "zones", each one-acre, including one for large dogs, one for smaller dogs, and one that will be “resting” and closed for use. The runs will rotate in order to maintain the turf and signage at the park will help users identify which areas are open. Louisville Dog Run Association members help pay for the maintenance, programming, and overall upkeep of the new amenity and the membership process helps to verify that each dog is up-to-date on shots and safe to play with other pups. Garvin Brown Preserve and Dog Exercise Area Garvin Brown Preserve is a 46-acre nature preserve that is owned and preserved by River Fields. Garvin Brown Preserve is open to the public.

To access Garvin Brown Preserve, take River Road to Bass Road. Continue to Bass Road to Park Road. Park in the paved parking lot near Hays Kennedy Park's soccer field. Cross Hays Kennedy land for about 800 feet until you come to the small gate at the entrance of the preserve.

Walking a little over a mile, tour-goers are introduced to beautiful residential enclaves such as St. James and Belgravia Courts while beholding impressive examples of Italianate, Richardsonian Romanesque, Queen Anne, Chateâuesque, Beaux Arts, and Renaissance Revival architecture.
