    Hiller Park

    This is a town park where dogs can run and play off leash. It has a large open field as well as paths through the woods which often end at beautiful ocean overlooks. Three of the paths end with stairs down to a small river that runs along the ocean beach, but the climb is pretty steep. The park is open year round and friendly dogs are welcome everywhere except the fenced in children's playground. There is also a paved bike/walk path where dogs are welcome on leash. Visit Website

      Keep An Eye On Your Dog

      because the dog area is undenied, people are attentive to where their dog is and what it’s doing and how it’s behaving. But while we were there, all dogs were friendly and basically sweet. This park was highly recommended by a local person who lives at the RV park in Arcata.
