The Atchafalaya Experience
The Atchafalaya Experience in Breaux Bridge, LA, is pet-friendly. The tour lasts for three hours and visitors have an opportunity to see large cypress trees growing in the water of the swamp, alligators, and birds such as herons, egrets, osprey, hawks, and owls. What you see is dependent upon the season and water levels, but there is always something interesting. There is an admission cost per person but Fido tours free! There's usually a weight limit of 40lbs, but larger dogs may be allowed at the discretion of the tour operator. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Tours meet at the Welcome Center.
