    Our favorite place!

Wanted to post a review because most are older and negative. We LOVE Snyder!
Some dogs are there to play, some are just there to fetch in the water alone. But all have a great time!

    Snyder Park -dead fish

Sadly, Snyder park has grossly deteriorated. The dog swim used to be great. My dogs loved it. Unfortunately lately it is covered with dead fish. At times I throw 10-12 fairly large fish in the garbage while my one pup brings me more. Beyond gross. Sadly park staff does not seem concerned and just says water is fine. So why allll the dead fish??? The park has gone from 5 stars to 1

On Weekends They Have a Bar - Pooch and Hooch

Brought my 2 dogs on a Sunday (one is 14lbs and the other is 20lbs) and all of us had fun! On Saturday and Sunday they have a pop-up bar called Pooch and Hooch on-site with great drinks for humans and dog treats.

The park has shade in parts and is maintained weekly. There is even part in the woods that my dogs love and is fenced in. My only note about the park would be to point out that the water stations can become puddles and if you are worried about your dogs getting wet I would avoid it.

While we did not go to the lake this visit we have been and it is nice for dogs that swim.

    50/50

The dog area itself is wonderful... covered with beautiful trees and very shaded. However, the color of the water looked odd to us, and our dog ended up getting sick for about three days after. There were a lot of small rocks (versus dirt or grass) covering the ground - almost like how someone would put down mulch. It cut up our coon hound’s paws pretty bad. We haven’t come back for those reasons, which is such a shame because otherwise it would have been perfect.

    My puppy loves it!

I went there a few times and my 10 pounds miniature poodle puppy loves it. Everytime we went, there was no aggressive dogs. Yes, I saw some "arguments" between dogs but thats totally normal as they are.. well.. Dogs! I think some owners are just a little bit on the neurotic side to be honest, it's a beautiful and fun place to go for your pup.
    Do not go if :
    - you wish to keep a perfectly clean dog
    - you are overly protective
    - you are neurotic by nature
    - you can't stand the "dirt" of mother nature
    - you are a bacteria freak

    Amazing

Not sure what all of the negative reviews are for. This place is amazing, I feel like I am not even in South Florida when I go here. My dogs love it. Have 2 dogs, one large and one is small and even with the small one we've never run into an issue with overly aggressive dogs. The one or two times someone was playing too rough the owners took them out A great place. Dogs love it. Beautiful.

    Always have issues

I've been to this park a several times over the past few years and its never good. There are always aggressive dogs there with owners that don't grab their dogs when they should to stop them from attacking other dogs. The water there is so full of bacteria. Everytime my dog swims he gets bumps all over him that takes weeks to get rid of. Beach side is rocky and park side is dirt. I think everytime I'm there people complain about having problems with aggressive dogs so i know its not the times i visit. Im finally throwing in the towel.

    WATCH YOUR STUFF!

We live nearby and frequent this dog park but it is regularly patrolled by professional thieves who will smash and grab your stuff in less than 60 seconds. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Now on to the dog stuff. There is a decent sized park and has agility courses and a separate are for smaller pooches. There are fountains, when they are working, and places to wash your dog. On the opposite side of the parking lot is a swimming hole which is decent, but don't let your dog drink the water. It is quieter during the week. On the weekends it gets busy, plus you have to pay for parking. Overall, I would go back but please, save yourself some headaches and don't leave wallets or purses in the car, even if you have to carry them with you.

    loves to swim!

this is a great spot for water loving dogs! the lagoon is very pretty, shaded and has a few benches. very tropical with a waterfall and fairly clean. most dog owners have been very friendly, but there is always the exception and ocassionaly a dog fight will erupt. hate to say, but each time i have seen an altercation it's been with a pit bull and low life owners! our pup loves the place and we are cautious to watch out for the potential dangerous owner/dog. no different than any other dog park anywhere! there is also a dry area with agility equipment and water and hoses for bathing. lots of parking and free during the week with a nominal charge weekends and holidays. look our for closed days when they clean.

    Awesome!

Best dog park in the area! I have a border collie who loves to run and a black lab who loves to swim and Snyder park has something for both of them to enjoy! Great place:)

DON'T LET IT DRINK THE LAKE WATER!

Ok so this is absolutely a great park with a very beautiful lake. It has rocks and small fishes so don't go there barefoot. It does say that there is maintenance every month? or week? (sorry i forgot). but one thing i'm sure of... my little morkie drank some of the lake water and she had diarrhea + vomiting... we went to the vet and she has caught GIARDIA, some kind of bacteria from the lake. It was awful because we were on vacation and had to go on the flight back that day. So yes it is pretty nice but DON'T LET YOUR DOG DRINK THE WATER!!!

    Seriously awesome!!!

I love this park!! I really recommend it for anyone with a dog in the area. It's free on the weekdays and you only have to pay for parking on weekends and holidays. there are hoses and water facilities for dogs and humans. The parkas always clean and they have the most small dogs out of any park I've seen. The best thing of all is the water park!! It's a filtered lake for dogs to jump in and go crazy, plus it's the perfect way to get your new pup use to the water!!i the only reason I don't give it 5 is because it has normal drawbacks of any dog park, such as large dog fights , but they are rarely serious at all.

    never going back

May 27, 2012 Disgusting. This is not a beach. It is all rocks and you cannot walk barefoot. A posted sign at the dog beach entrance states "no swimming due to high levels of bacteria". We left after 15 minutes. Definitely will not go back.
