- CherilynMar 25, 2024Loved that we could include our girl on this adventure
This was a wonderful, enriching experience for our husky. Dogs welcome everywhere but the bird nursery and the feeding area. Our girl got to be part of the family adventure and loved it! Also, our human kids enjoyed the experience and the grounds are beautiful.
- KylieMar 6, 2024Very fun!!
It is up a mountain, with very steep slopes so keep that in mind if you or your pup have mobility issues! They do offer tours ($60) with golf carts that your pup can ride on! Our guide was amazing. When you pet the baby birds and go in the enclosure the dogs are not allowed. However our guide was so sweet and held our baby while we went in together. Or you can swap with whoever you are with. Definitely worth going!
- KaitlynDec 13, 2023Depressing, bad bird care.
I’ll admit, I was really excited to be able to interact with the birds & I enjoyed my visit. That was until I realized that these birds have their wings clipped and were forced to sit on their perches all day with no stimulation. I wish I would have done more research before visiting, and I regret giving them any money. I assumed this was a good organization since it was a “sanctuary”. Now I know that they do not take proper care of these animals and it is honestly super depressing.
- TamaraOct 23, 2023Great place to walk your dog
This was a great place to visit with our dogs! Our 5 month old puppy enjoyed looking at the birds. We, along with some other guests, got tickled when a bird was barking at our dogs. There are a few areas that dogs are not allowed, which is very understandable. There are places to sit outside these areas, so my husband and I were able to take turns sitting with the dogs.
Please note: as the name implies, it is on a mountain. There are a lot of inclines, so just be aware if you or your dog have mobility issues.
- JerryAug 20, 2023Dog friendly, only if your dog doesn't bark
The staff was friendly about it but after the 2nd time of coming to us about people complaining about our dog barking, I just told them I will take her to the car. I sat in the car with our dog and let my wife and granddaughter finish going through which they did in a hurry. So I would say if your barks, a dog that barks? Who would guess, it's a waste of money.
- AmandaApr 5, 2023Such a fun time
This was such a fun experience. The staff was friendly and interacting with the birds was super fun!

Great little adventure. Staff was very welcoming, very clean, and great half day adventure to spend with your dog.
- TammyMar 15, 2023Beautiful sanctuary
We celebrated my King Charles 5th birthday here. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
- DiannaNov 27, 2022Garden fun
We loved being able to take our boy to the beautiful gardens. He was more interested in the squirrels than the birds. hahaha. The birds would get his attention when they talked.
- CamarynAug 29, 2022Accommodating and fun!
Our Pierogi is what we believe to be a longhaired chihuahua, and has anxiety, so I was worried about her getting scared with all the birds and loud noises, but she did well, and only whimpered once whenever we first got there. There are only two places where dogs aren’t permitted and they have little benches for you to sit and wait while others in your party take their turn, which I thought was very thoughtful as my boyfriend loves birds and wanted to take a little extra time in those areas. However make sure your doggo uses the bathroom before you arrive as I didn’t see any good places for them to do their business.
- HaileyJul 25, 2022Dogs loved it!!!
We brought our Whoodle and Aussiedoodle and they had a blast with the birds!! We noticed the birds were way more active once we’d bring the dogs over to them!!
The staff was super sweet and gave our babies love and treats!
The only places you can’t bring the pups into is the nursery, feeding, and petting areas because the birds are loose/flying around everywhere. - SamanthaJul 7, 2022Busy but fun place
We really enjoyed all of the birds. I carried my Yorkie the entire time as there was a big group of kids who kept wanting to pet her. Overall the birds were fine with us. They are all beautiful and look very well cared for. We got lots of great pictures. Would definitely recommend if you have a calm dog.
- AlethaJun 12, 2022Beautiful birds and gardens!
We enjoyed seeing the beautiful birds and gardens! The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our furry child, Tasia, enjoyed the visit, too. We suggest arriving early for a good parking place.
- MaryJun 8, 2022Rude
We were respectful and found the staff extremely rude. Would not recommend.
- CandaceMay 5, 2022Roscoe the bird dog!
We were looking for fun places to be able to allow our pup to spread his legs. This was not only fun for him but quite the experience for us as well. All of the staff was super friendly and welcomed us in. Roscoe did really well even big a typically high active dog. He loved seeing the birds and found it interesting that some could talk to him! So of course we had to buy him a souvenir from the gift shop!
- AngelynNov 29, 2021Very Dog Friendly!
The staff were very welcoming of our dogs....the birds maybe weren't as thrilled! The gardens are beautiful. We got about half way through before our big dog, a lab, got a little too interested in some of the birds. Luckily it was cool out so we took the dogs back to the car then finished the tour. Just be aware that there is an aviary you walk through, then there is also a place where you feed and interact with about 30 birds who are on open perches. That's when we opted out with our lab. If your dog ignores the birds (like our terrier did) you'll be ok. All in all a fun time in a beautiful setting.
- JoeOct 24, 2021Awesome place to visit
This place was great and people were very kind. Please make sure your dogs are calm and well leash trained. If they are not please do not go .
- AubreyApr 20, 2021Parrots, parrots everywhere
Fun little bird sanctuary with all kinds of parrots and beautiful birds. Leashed dogs are allowed on in the main area. There are some areas where you can feed the parrots and the dog cannot go in there. Our dog had some fun interactions with birds, a parrot actually barked at her and it was adorable. Everyone was very friendly.
- RobOct 16, 2020Great place for calm dogs
We took our 2 dogs with us and had a great time. We have a beagle mix that’s about 5 and a toy poodle that’s approximately 9, Both calm, non barkers that love people and attention. They enjoyed walking around and appeared to actually be looking at the birds. The birds didn’t necessarily love the dogs being there but the staff was friendly and accommodating. Much of the area is shaded so even on a warm day the dogs were very comfortable. Both took a long nap after spending time walking around and checking out all of the cool exotic birds.
