Always adopt, usually older pets and spoil them!

Extremely pet friendly
The Island in Pigeon ForgeDidn’t have great expectations considering it’s a collection of stores, however, I was wrong! Every store we went into was extremely friendly and accommodating. Several people asked if we needed water or anything for the pups which we didn’t because within minutes of arrival one of the staff members went and got 2 bottles of water and cups for our puppies to drink and would not allow us to pay for them. Several staff members asked if they could pet the dogs and would spend a couple of minutes with us. We’ve been places that will tolerate pets but these folks are welcoming. Will definitely shop those stores again!
Adequate
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pigeon ForgeThe room was adequate, staff was friendly, had no issues at check in or with our room. The dogs were able to stay with a $20 fee for each. Biggest issue is that what at first seemed like a great location was a bit of a hassle, virtually everything is south of this location which is on the northbound side and required a number of u-turns and heavy traffic. Would consider staying again though.
Great place for calm dogs
Parrot Mountain and Garden of EdenWe took our 2 dogs with us and had a great time. We have a beagle mix that’s about 5 and a toy poodle that’s approximately 9, Both calm, non barkers that love people and attention. They enjoyed walking around and appeared to actually be looking at the birds. The birds didn’t necessarily love the dogs being there but the staff was friendly and accommodating. Much of the area is shaded so even on a warm day the dogs were very comfortable. Both took a long nap after spending time walking around and checking out all of the cool exotic birds.
