Blennerhassett Island State Park

Explore the dog-friendly historical Blennerhassett Island State Park in Parkersburg, WV. Its reconstructed mansion offers visitors a glimpse of life on a colonial farmstead, and volunteers wear period-accurate costumes. Dogs are not allowed inside any buildings, but self-guided walking tours are available. Blennerhassett Island is open from the first of May until mid-November each year. While touring the park, visitors should allow at least three hours for a complete tour. This includes the sternwheeler ride to and from the island.
