Krepps Park A large, wooded dog park for fun with your best friend. This park contains lots of fun for Fido and friends and is located within the Krepps Park trail system, just inside the trailhead behind Krepps Shelter. Plenty of parking. See Details

Fido's Backyard Fido's Backyard is a 3 acre off-leash area for dogs. There are separate fenced in areas for small dogs and large dogs. The park features double gated entry, benches and a wooded area. Fido's Backyard is open from 8am to dark. Fido's Backyard is located at the north end of East Marion Park, near Pavilion #5. Dog owners should follow the Dog Park signs to access parking. See Details
Ghost Tours of Harpers Ferry Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome to join their humans on the Ghost Tours of Harpers Ferry. This 90-minute walking tour will take visitors through the historic Lower Town neighborhoods of Harpers Ferry. The tour guide will take visitors to sites and buildings where ghostly phenomenon has been reported while explaining, through legends and historical events, why ghosts may choose to haunt a particular location. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum Step back in time with a visit to the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Visitors are guided by tour guides dressed in period dress. Dogs are welcome on the daytime History & Heritage tours only and need to be leashed at all times. Please note that some tours require the use of stairs, and strollers must be carried on the stairs. Kanawha State Forest Kanawha State Forest is a beautiful place with tons of hiking, biking, and horse back riding trails. There are a lot of different levels of trails ranging from easy to hard. It's a pet friendly area. My dog and I love hiking in the woods. Some of the trails have streams or the river running along them . It truly is a beautiful place for you and your animal to bond and plenty of space for them to run off the leach just make sure you watch out for snakes! Wv two poshness snakes are the copper head and the rattle snake and they are out there so pay attention to your dog and were he is smelling. But I have been there probable 50 times and only ever seen one snake. But it's a fun place with lots of activities. They also have an out door pool, good fishing, camp grounds, horse back riding, and shelters to have picnics. My dog loves going hiking here. its by far our favprite place to go on walks in Charleston! just don't forget the tick repellent! See Details

Jackson Dog Park The park is located at the rear of Jackson Park, off of 34th St in Vienna. Ballpark turned dog park. Dugouts are still there which provide a nice shady area to sit and watch your pup play. Location has water fountains, fenced in area, and benches. See Details
Fitzsimmons Family Dog Park – a PetSafe Park Wheeling Dog Park is 1.3 acres and has two sections one for 30 lbs and under and large dogs. There are separate entrances to the two areas with each side featuring a water station, walking trail and benches. Food and toys are not allowed in the park. Be aware that the city has an ordinance that bans dangerous and vicious dog breeds: Bulldogs, Presa Canario, Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
