    Fabulous

What a wonderful place! Both our pups loved their afternoon at Elm Creek. Highly recommended.

    Not so great

Its' a very large dog park, and as such, some people just let their dogs run and don't watch them. This has resulted in more than a few dog fights which has caused injuries to people and dogs.

Best dog park probably in MN.

    Great Park

This is an amazing dog park with walking trails, open play area and swim area in the summer. I take my dog here almost every day and have fun with the other dogs. Please note that the park is family friendly and I enjoy seeing the kids walk around with their dogs and family. It can get busy with lots of dogs but we’ve seen nothing but good for over a year of coming. I’ve never seen an issue with the kids until today. It is a dog park and not a kid park. If you are letting your kids run around screaming, throwing sticks and not staying close to you can’t fault the dog owners for the dogs getting excited about that and tell people how poorly the dogs are trained. It clearly states in the rules on line- Children ages 15 and younger must be supervised by an adult.
Please let this wonderful place be for the dogs and use a playground for the kids to run and scream so the dog owners who use it can continue to. Yes, I am also a parent. Thank you.

A Little Piece of Doggy Heaven

This dog park is amazing, the only reason I give it four bones is that parking is $6.50 which is a joke. It's a great dog park but I don't know what they're smoking.

    Wide open space changes seasonally

This is a large park with plenty of open space for larger dogs to roam. A recently added area for small and frail dogs is still in the post-construction stage but should be nice when finished. Pond cleanliness and size varies with the seasons - large and clean(ish) in the spring, smaller and dirtier as the summer goes on, but my dog seems to love it all the time. Variety of wider trails and narrower ones along the edge of the park. Mostly knowledgable/friendly/responsible dog owners. We've never had a bad experience. There are restrooms. Helpful to bring towels and water.

Great park, depends on when you go

Overall I think this is a great park and they are making improvements, like a nicer entry area and an area for small/frail dogs. The pond is great in the summer but the water level varies depending on the time of year. If it's wet out, make sure you bring towels because your dog will get muddy wherever you go.

Lots of fun, safe space for my dog

I have only been to one other park on the list and the Elm Creek park far exceeded it. There is a lot of space, the people that frequent this park are nice and respectful, and there is a lot of interesting space to walk.

    Nice size, otherwise average

I made a special trip since this is rated as the best dog park in the state. I was comparing it to Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis and was dissappointed. The pond was small more like a dirty puddle that frogs breed it. They only had a few trails, the circle trail was nice but it ended quickly and a lot of owners do not clean up after their dogs :(

Elm Creek Reserve Dog Park - FANTASTIC!

I have a yearly pass to this park, and it is AMAZING! Both my dogs and I love going here. They can run and run, and I can get a good walk in without holding them back. The trails are well kept, the people friendly, and the scenery breathtaking. For those with labs or other 'water' dogs, there is a big pond for swimming and fetching. A wonderful place to take your dog(s)!
