  Nice Shady Trails

  Pups had a fun time! Our new puppy is just learning to walk on a leash so this was her first adventure. The trail is narrow but there's enough room to move aside if other hikers and their pups need to pass by. The little creek is beautiful and the trails were mostly shady which is very important in Florida heat. There are poop bags available at the entrance, in case you forget your own, and trash cans located on the trail. Parking is a little tight so if you go on the weekend when it's busy you may have trouble finding a spot. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

  Narrow trails, leash law not respected

  I’ve been to Loblolly a couple of times and had an overall pleasant experience. The trails are really narrow in parts but you can usually step to a side trail if needed. I have two rescue dogs that can be reactive on leash so I try to be keep my distance if possible. Today a man had a dog off leash, and I saw the dog walking up to another dog on the path. When I asked him to move out of the path or put his dog on a leash he started screaming at me, and wouldn’t stop until another person walked by and asked him to.

  Just be mindful if this is a concern of yours on trails that unfortunately there may be people that both don’t respect the leash policy and seem to not care about their dogs running up to yours while on a leash.

  Great place!

  My 4 month old puppy absolutely loved it here!! So many trail options, streams, and off the path terrains for my dog. Only a half mile through, which makes it a little short, but a great walk nonetheless.

  Great for pups

  there’s lots of different trails to go down, and a river, so much to sniff! my dog loves this place, parking can sometimes be hard.
