All From the Safety of Your Car
Don't pass this place up if you love wildlife! If you're in a hurry you can enjoy it driving at a moderate pace, straight through, no stops in an hour. It could easily be done as a day trip (3-5 hours) making lots of stops to enjoy many of the species of wildlife FL has to offer. A record number of birds frequent here yearly. You'll for sure see gators, maybe some snakes, turtles, tortoise, and birds of prey!! Bring your camera, pack a lunch, and make a day driving through! I would keep Fido in the car unless a potty break is a must. Keep Fido on leash while in the car and when stopping be careful to keep Fido close on leash. Clean up behind your pet. Tune into the audio tour. Don't forget your camera!
