Guilford Dog Park

Guilford Dog Park is a dog-friendly park in Guilford, CT, with two separate fenced areas for small and large dogs. The ground is mostly covered in mulch. The park is a work in progress and endeavors to be ADA compliant and eventually have an agility course, water pump, and waste containment system. A trail is also located behind this outdoor facility. Weird culture
A few dogs make this park impossible for others to use. Large angry dogs are often sent over to the small dog area. Sometimes o go with my puppy and am told I can’t come in because a certain angry dog is there and he hasn’t accepted my silly puppy yet so I should go to the small dog area - but my silly puppy is huge and, however gentle, inappropriate for small or frail dogs. It’s not inclusive.

Well maintained by the Town
Two large sections - one dedicated to older/puppies/shy doggies - with a 5 ft fence and tons of wood chips. Very few bugs in the summer and a nice crowd every morning at 8am.
