      Lots of dogs

      We visited Fort De Soto beach on our dogs first vacation. There is a huge fenced in dog park right in front of the dog beach. We didn’t use the park as we were there for the beach but it was a nice option. The dog beach was ok. The shoreline was made up of small shells so definitely glad we had our swim shoes. There were lots of dogs the day we went but we were able to find a spot to ourselves. My older dog is a rescue with poor socialization skills (part of the reason we took this trip, to get her more exposure) and she can come across as aggressive so we like to keep her separated from other dogs. She is a 10 yr old, 25lb schnauzer with barely any teeth so she really isn’t aggressive. We kept our dogs on leash, since we know their personalities. There were plenty of more well behaved dogs enjoying off leash swimming with their parents.

      Amazing beach

      I came with my golden retriever to this beach. We had an amazing time. She did not need to use a leash, she was able to run and swim. We are coming back for sure

      Amazing! 🤩 🏝️

      This beach is gorgeous to begin with, and the fact that our pups can tag along to someplace this beautiful is truly awesome! Make sure your off lead pups have good recall as it is an off leash beach. There is a fenced dog park as well, but we didn’t use that.

      Great Dog Park and beach

      Huge dog park! One side for small other side for large dogs. The back gate/exit leads to the beach. Very clean and people were nice too. Wash off área was cool too. My only negative were the mosquitos the size of flies. HUGE!

      the beach is wonderful, you can take a sun while your furry son plays.

      Gorgeous Beach for you and your dog.

      very nice park and beach, it was a little hike but worth it if you can walk there.
