Clarks Hill Park Dog Beach

Great place and lots of fun to run around. Technically it’s a beach that allows dogs and Park Rangers can enforce dog leash rules if they want. It’s the first entrance on the left once you enter the park. The edges of the beach aren’t closed in so if you’re dog likes to wander off you’ll have to keep an eye on them. We’ll definitely be back!

(At Elijah Creek State Park, first entrance in after the guide building) Amazing place to bring dogs during the summer. My dog loves going to swim and play with other dogs!

We went out last weekend with the dog. He had a blast! It was a cool day, so no one was around. Great place for the dogs and people!

The dog beach is located in a nice sheltered cove near the dam with a nice sandy beach. Our dogs really enjoyed swimming of leash. Other dogs joined us after a bit and everyone played nicely together.

This nice, small beach in SC allows dogs off leash. it’s crowded on a hot weekend, and the water is SUPER warm-like bath water. Be careful wading or throwing things in for your dog as there are lots of small tree stumps under the surface that could cause injury. All dogs and owners there when we visited were well-behaved.

Smallish patch of sandy beach on a large reservoir. Gentle slope makes it an ideal swim location for all but the most timid of dogs. Most dogs are off-leash & there may be several families w/ assorted dogs so it’s best best enjoyed by dogs who can manage a dog park like atmosphere. Humans can swim as well & there is a picnic area at the head of the short trail to the beach. Great Saturday adventure.
