Stopped here for a stretch on a road trip and really enjoyed it. The park has a large open area and the local group there was so friendly and welcoming. A review from a couple years ago said there was poop everywhere but that was not our experience. Our dog really enjoyed it, and the Gage Park area surrounding it is lovely and interesting if you want to leash up and explore a bit further.
Note: The park is closed for maintenance on Thursday mornings from 7-8am. - PeaDec 30, 2022Best park we’ve been to!
we’ve driven cross country Washington to South Carolina several times over the past 2 years with our dogs, on our most recent trip we stopped by this park on our way through Topeka - this park was amazing!!! It’s huge so every dog has their space without having to worry about where your dog ran off to, all the dogs were incredibly friendly and they’ve even got lights that come on when it gets dark!! we used the big dogs side but the small dogs side is just as big and taken care of! we plan to stop by again on our way back!

Very impressed with this dog park. LOTS of space to run around, water fountains for my dog and very close to Highway 70.

really nice, well kept dog park right near I-70. My dog and I were passing through on our way back to CO from NC and there was plenty of space for her to stretch her legs!

5 mins from I 70 and well worth it! Many dogs at this large park which is adjacent to a larger park with restrooms and nice shady places to walk. a great stop!

Large dog park fairly easy to access from the interstate. Lots of grass with a side for small dogs and a side for large dogs. The park was clean and there were waste bags and trash cans. Very friendly people and dogs.

We stopped by on our way thru thinking it would be a good stop while traveling. The park itself is pretty big but I couldn’t walk 10 steps without stepping and almost stepping in dog poop. The time we were there I didn’t see ONE dog owner pick up poop. Not going back to that park unless it’s the absolute last resort.

This dog park is fantastic! There were lots of friends to play with, tons of toys, and plenty of water. Our dog was very happy to stop here after a long 2 days in the car.

This park made me remember that our regular dog park at home isn't very big. This isn't huge compared to some, but it is for my pup.
At 7:30 on a Tuesday morning, we didn't find anyone here to play with. There is a LOT of seating for humans, including a shaded picnic area, which I can't imagine being used with a busy park. :-/
Water not on in March, which would be distressing if my pup were playing hard with someone.
Waste bags in the park and a port-a-potty outside.
We will come again when we are in town next. - RobertMore than a year agoHill's Bark Park
This is a great stop on a long road trip. Close to the freeway. Large open spaces with some obstacles for the dogs to run through. Our two dogs really enjoyed it.

Our husky loves it and it's comfortable for us as well.

We have 2 parks in one. One side is for Large dogs and the other is for small dogs. We have water available during all but the winter months. We encourage out of town visitors, to stop and stretch their legs while on trips or to come and stay awhile. Both dogs and dog parents are friendly.
