Shawnee Mission Off Leash Dog Park Shawnee Mission Off Leash Dog Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Shawnee, KS. Located east of the observation tower on John Barkley Drive, the 53-acre off-leash area features a dog swim area along with wood chip and natural surface trails through grassland and wooded areas. The off-leash area also includes paved parking and portable toilets. The area is open year-round during regular park hours every day of the week from 6am to 8pm, except Tuesdays from 5am to 9pm for routine maintenance. See Details

W.B. Harrison Park Harrison Park in Wichita is pet-friendly and features a fenced-in dog park area. The dog park has separate areas for both large and small dogs and agility equipment. Happy Basset Brewing Co Happy Basset Brewing Co is dog-friendly. Their motto is to brew beer for dog's best friend, which is us, Fido! The beer menu available includes a selection of beers you may not find elsewhere, like porter, coffee blonde, chili porter, maple bacon brown breakfast beer, and more. Milford State Park Milford State Park is pet-friendly. Located on the shore of the largest lake in Kansas, this state park is hugely popular among anglers and recreational boaters. There are a number of trails in the area that take in the natural and diverse beauty that Kansas has to offer, including meadows, woods, and stunning views of the vast lake itself. Heritage Park Dog Off-Leash Area The Heritage Park Dog Off-Leash Area is a great spot for your canine to enjoy in Olathe, KS! It is a 30-acre area with a fenced open space and a small pond. The off-leash area is accessible from all entrances of the park but is closest to the entrance at 16240 Lackman Road. Please note that weekly maintenance closures are in effect. Maintenance will be scheduled for Tuesdays from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Closures are intended to allow for a higher level of maintenance to the area without compromising dog and patron safety. Shawnee Mission Park The dog-friendly Shawnee Mission Park is a multi-use, 1,600-acre park located in Kansas. It is the largest park in the county and the most visited park in the entire state of Kansas. Its 53-acre off-leash dog park, one of the largest in the country, has hiking trails, large open spaces and a 200-foot dog beach. The park is also home to a number of fantastic amenities such as a beautiful 120-acre lake that's great for boating, fishing, sail boarding, and much more. There are 11 spacious shelters, numerous picnic areas, nature trails, play areas, an archery range, a disc golf course, and trails to enjoy mountain biking and horseback riding. The park is also home to The Theatre in the Park, Shawnee Mission Park Beach, and Shawnee Mission Park Marina. Hutchinson Dog Park Hutchinson Dog Park is a pet-friendly park in Hutchinson, KS. This beautifully landscaped park features two fenced acres of grassy, off-leash play for Fido, with separate areas for large and small dogs. There are covered shelters for dog owners on both sides with benches, a water feature, waste stations, and is handicap accessible. The park is made possible by a partnership between Cause for Paws, Inc. and the Hutchinson Parks & Facilities Department. See Details
Tuttle Creek State Park Tuttle Creek State Park is split into four sections, River Pond, Cedar Ridge, Fancy Creek, and Randolph . They are all pet-friendly and welcome dogs to join their owners to explore the 1,200-acres of land they encompass. There are a number of nature trails that are ideal for when it's time to go walkies, along with some scenic picnic areas that will take your breath away, but hopefully won't make you lose your appetite. You can bring Fido to all sections of the park if they are on a leash under ten feet. Mushroom Rock State Park Dogs are welcome at Mushroom Rock, the smallest state park in Kansas. The rock formations, that have the appearance of giant mushrooms, were once a meeting point for Native Americans. You can bring Fido with you to enjoy the huge rock formations, as long as you clean up any mess they make after them and you keep your pooch on a leash under ten feet for the duration of their visit. Barkley Park Barkley Park is a two-acre dog park with three fenced-in areas. The park features benches, dog water fountains, and waste bag dispensers. No female dogs in season, aggressive dogs or pit bulls are allowed, and dogs must be vaccinated, over four months of age, watched at all times, and leashed outside the park. Owners are allowed three dogs at a time and must clean up after their pets. Food and smoking are not allowed. Barkley Park is open daily from 5am to 11pm, unless the park is undergoing maintenance or a special event is happening. See Details
Kansas Museum of History Nature Trails Kansas Museum of History Nature Trails is pet-friendly. This 2.5 mile trail winds throughout the Kansas Historical Society property in western Topeka and is divided into four sections. Signs interpret both the cultural and natural history of the area. Visitors can walk along the creek banks, through native grasslands, and into the woodlands area of the north trail. The west trail passes through the woodlands and crosses three bridges, including a rope bridge. The trail is open sunrise to sundown year-round. Leawoof Dog Park Leawoof Dog Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Leawood, Kansas. This large and pristine park offers local pups the chance to get some exercise and socialize with others. The large fenced-in area has a nice shaded bench area for humans to sit at while they keep an eye on their dogs. There's even some agility equipment and a walking path to the seating area. MacLennan Park Trails MacLennan Park Trails are pet-friendly. Located in northwest Topeka along the hills overlooking the Kansas River, the trailhead and parking lots may be found on the south side of the park on 6th Street west of Fairlawn Road and on the north side of the park on the west side of the Governor’s Mansion. The park has two types of trails – a wide limestone loop and a series of dirt single track hiking and biking trails. This pet-friendly park boasts 25-miles of trails of varied trails that lead through upland forest around the 11,000 acres of Perry Reservoir. Due to the 1,000 acres of marshes around the lake, the wildlife is abundant and interesting.
