Shawnee Mission Off Leash Dog Park Shawnee Mission Off Leash Dog Park is a pet-friendly recreation area in Shawnee. Located east of the observation tower on John Barkley Drive, the 53-acre off-leash area features a dog swim area along with wood chip and natural surface trails through grassland and wooded areas. The off-leash area also includes paved parking and portable toilets. The area is open year-round during regular park hours every day of the week from 6am to 8pm, except Tuesdays from 5am to 9pm for routine maintenance. See Details

Heritage Park The Heritage Park Dog Off-Leash Area is a great spot for your canine to enjoy! It is a 30-acre area with a fenced open space and a small pond. The off-leash area is accessible from all entrances of the park but is closest to the entrance at 16240 Lackman Road Please note that weekly maintenance closures are in effect. Maintenance will be scheduled for Tuesdays from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Closures are intended to allow for a higher level of maintenance to the area without compromising dog and patron safety. Pawnee Prairie Park Leashed dogs are welcome at this semi-regional park that spans 624.49 acres along the Cowskin Creek, parcels for which were acquired in the 1960’s and 1970’s, contains a variety of plants and wildlife. The park has been designated as a Wichita Wild Habitat area and is the largest in the Wichita Park system. Facilities include a five-mile marked trail in three connecting loops as well as many unmarked trails.

City of Great Bend Dog Park (Bark Park) This is an off leash dog park, open to everyone and their pets. The area is large and securely fenced with shaded areas and seating. Disposal stations and fresh water are available, along with balls, frisbees, ect. donated by everyone. Please visit our site, online or in person. This is a donation funded facility for our four-legged companions and makes a nice stoping point for travelers, or those of us unlucky enoughto have a fenced yard.
Basic rules:
1. Dogs must be at least four months of age and current on all vaccinations. A rabies tag must be with you or on your pet.
2. No food, human or canine, or treats are allowed inside the Park.
3. Disposal stations are available for 'deposits' and these must be picked up immediately.
4. No alcohol or tobacco products of any kind are permitted.
5. Aggressive dogs are not permitted and all handlers must be at least 16 yrs. of age. Handlers must remain with their dogs at all times while inside the 'Bark Park'.
