Nestled in the wooded mountains of Hardy County, the park is a secluded getaway for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Hiking trails cover 23 miles of open countryside and woodland. Don't miss your chance to hike along a trail leading to Cranny Crook overlook on top of Big Ridge Mountain to admire expansive park views from 3,200 feet. Beautiful, quiet except for leaf blowers
Some cabins are pet-friendly, they are clean and well-equipped. A little cold today, Oct 27. Be prepared to light a fire in your cabin and keep it going. I met nice people with dogs. The hiking trails are beautiful. I recommend.
