    Easier access

Piggybacking on some of these reviews.... first of all, this is a county park, not New City or Clarkstown run. Also, there are several points of entry if you don’t want to walk up the hill off the N. Main entrance, you can access the park from Philips Hill Rd. The dog run is not the best kept and has no water, but the trails are easy to walk and you can bring your dog down to the stream to cool off.

    Worst dog park ever

You need to walk up a very long hill to get to this "park". Not user friendly to anyone with walking issues. There is no water facility available and practically no shade. The dogs dig holes in the ground to try to keep cool. Shame on you New City.

    Mrs.

The dog park itself is very nice and spacious. However it is a problem for Seniors like myself. The long walk uphill is difficult to walk up. I will not go back and I don't think Seniors like myself, 75 plus, will want to to there.

    Big rectangle on a plateau

The run is a big rectangle with a mix of grass and wood chips. No trees, hills, shade, or water provided. Follow the signs toward the back of the Kennedy-Dells park behind the sports fields, then walk up a hill on the trail 1/8 mile maybe to an open area. The dog run is on the left in open area. There are lots of great on-leash walking trails and rumors of streams for the dogs to swim in within the park.
My dog loves it here because there are almost always other, fun dogs to play with.
