    Great Location

Situated near a multitude of apartments and condominiums in Downtown Minneapolis, I have yet to visit when there isn't at least one other dog there. Though it lacks the acreage of suburban dog parks, Loring Park Dog Park serves its purpose as a backyard for dogs who otherwise wouldn't have a space to run, play, and socialize. The park is clean and seems to be regularly maintained. It also has an obelysk of carved dogs at its center ('art') . The park is squished between Loring Park and MCTC, with I-94 intersect I-394 nearby, so there will most often be an abundance of car traffic around. Nonetheless, it's a good dog place to bring a furry friend if you're in the neighborhood.

Neighborhood Park Where Everyone Knows Your Dog's Name

As a nearby resident, I couldn't be more thrilled to live within walking distance to the Loring Park dog park. The grounds may not be massive, but the park is clean, fresh water is abundant, and at most times of the day there are always plenty of dogs for your pooch to play with and owners for you to chat with while they do. It's the perfect neighborhood park.

    Clean but very small

This park is perfect for all the apartment dogs and seniors that live in the highrises nearby. It's a place to stop if you're in the city and you need to let your dog out of the car for a bit. You'll have trouble finding parking - it's a popular area with restaurants, churches, MCTC, and the Walker. Loring Park is a great little 10 minute walk with your companion, geese and a pond. The fenced park is very very small, but clean. Rock gravel cover, so a bit of gravel dust, but stocked with fresh water. You'll probably be alone when you go, but the dogs I have encountered there were generally relaxed and playful. You might even spot an Albino squirrel or two.
