White Butte North Dakota’s Highest Point Trail is a 3.5 mile dog-friendly hike in Bowman, ND. Considered an easy route which should take 1.5 hours to complete, the trail is popular for birding, hiking, and trail running. Dogs are permitted to be off-leash in certain areas. Hikers can admire panoramic views of the Northern Plains and, at 3,506 feet above sea level, those who summit can brag about reaching the highest point in North Dakota.
