    Had a great time

The owners of the dogs were really nice to sit around and talk to. They clearly go there often bc they all knew each other and the dogs. My dog had a blast there and we spent 2 hours there. He's a 85lb black lab so having a big dog park separate from the small dogs was really nice. It's clean, very big space for them to go crazy. We will definitely be returning, I'm sorry that I didn't find this park sooner.

    WONDERFUL

Our 1 year old Labra-doodle isn't good with other dogs so we took him to the dog park to learn how to interact. He loved it. I loved it, except the big dogs pit was just sand. The 20 lbs and under pit had grass, more shade and was much nicer. But it was nice that they had 3 bowls for dogs to drink water from and a nice place to go.... FOR ANYONE NEEDING TO KNOW WHERE IT IT: IN WILMINGTON, IT'S ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER BIG LOTS ON THE RIGHT (IF YOU DRIVE PAST THE GOLF DRIVING RANGE YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR) YOU WILL TURN DOWN A ROAD THAT GOES PAST A CEMETERY AND ENTER THE PARK STRAIGHT AHEAD. DRIVE PAST THE BASEBALL FIELDS ABOUT A HALF A MILE DOWN, IT WILL BE ON YOUR RIGHT BEFORE THE PLAYGROUND. I BELIEVE IT'S PICNIC AREA 2.

Very pleasant for dogs and owners

8/9/14 We just moved to Hampstead. We came from Boone where we had to pay $55.00/year to use the Humane Society doggy park. What a pleasant surprise to find this one -- for free!! And it's in the middle of a beautiful park, Ogden Park, that has walking trails, tennis courts, picie areas and children's playground. Also, right across the parking lot from the dog park is a real restroom facility!! There is only a picnic table in the dog park for seating, so if you want a comfy chair, bring your own. But, everything else about this dog park was very nice. :)

    Small Dog Park

I'm new to the area & wanted to take my 2 small poodles somewhere they could run & play off leash - they were used to having a doggie door and fenced yard in our former home. The 'small dog' side of the Ogden park was a great disappointment. We were only there a few minutes because both dogs kept getting sandspurs in their paws, one paw was bleeding from a sandspur. The 'large dog' side was busy with a lot of dogs but there was only sand, no grass or weeds that would encourage the sandspur growth. This was quite a disappointment!

    Great Place to Visit

We took our pack, (Siberian Husky, Jester; Black Lab, Katrina; and Schnoodle, Winnie the Schnoo) to the Ogden Dog Park today. It was a great visit. There are separate enclosed areas for small dogs and large dogs with nice amounts of sun, sand, shade and grass on either side. Met a bunch of well behaved dogs with attentive owners. Poop bags are provided and owners are expected to clean up after their dogs. The water pump is on the large dog side. You may want to bring your own water container as the bowls there were somewhat green and mossy. Will definitely go back.
