    Love this park!

It’s a great park! Normally clean and everyone is always so nice. I love walking around the trail as my dog runs around.

Awesome little dog park in Sanford

This is a great dog park. Shady, with obstacle course and poop bags and water stations. It's also next door to a wonderful grooming salon. For "those people" complaining that this is an unsafe area? LOL LOL LOL Please go back to Heathrow and stay there!!!

    Better Than I Expected

So I had always thought this park was bad because it didn’t look updated and I’m not to fond of the location. My mother took us just to see how it was. I’ve gone twice already and I really like it. My dogs love it. Apparently the park has been updated. That’s what I’ve been told but of course can’t know for a fact cause I hadn’t been there before this weekend. PROS: Dogs and owners were friendly and happy. It’s very shady and it doesn’t feel hot. There are a lot of doggy bags and water stations everywhere you look. There are obstacles for dogs to use if they want. Barely any sand. It’s mainly grass and mulch. Not bad! There is also a spot around the park for the humans to walk and exercise while their dogs play. Designated area for small dogs and large dogs. CONS: The park is in a not so good area. There are no wash stations inside the park. There is one next to the park but you have to pay $5 cause it’s part of a business.

    Great dog park!

We visited the park a handful of times with our standard poodles while my husband was working in that area. We loved it. Lots of shade, HUGR compared to other parks we've been to, clean, friendly people/pets every time we went, water fountains for dogs and people, toys/obstacles, hose. And right next door to a bathing/grooming place that I wish I had been able to visit while there. Definitely recommend, however, as with ANY dog park....PLEASE make sure your dog(s) aren't sick, have current vaccines, pick up after them, and are not overly aggressive FOR EVERYONE'S ENJOYMENT. ;-)

    No Words!

That dog park should get not any bone. Very dirty park. It seems nobody takes care of the park. Dog poop allover, broken water hose, glass pieces and a lot of other junk. Stay away if you want your dog not hurt.........

Shady park in HOT Central Florida

I have been coming to this well shaded park for years. There is a water mister to keep both humans and pets cool. There are several water bowls, benches and shade. I would only come on weekends when there is a larger crowd as the area not the safest. I feel safe on the weekend with other dog owners there, bu less so when it is not as crowded.

    Pretty nice old dog park

Sanford says The Paw Park is the oldest in Central. It was first established in 2001. It has some good reviews from national magazines.

It's compact, with parking on three of the four sides. Each entrance is a double entrance, and the east entrance includes an entrance into a small dog play area off to the side.

In the center is a big downed tree and a community bulletin board. There is a walkway that wraps around the park, and there are benches and shade trees.

But the dogs are more interested in each other...

It's a nice little park. There were places for the dogs to climb, there were water areas and even a time out area.

My only complaint is the dirt. There were several dirt patches, and where there's dirt there's a dog who wants to jump and roll in it. The little doggy pool was full of dirty water, and I don't think there was anything that could be done to get that pool clean.

Conveniently though, there's a dog wash and groomers right across the street.
