    Horrible Experience

I was initially goi g to write a review about the lack of maintenance (lawn care) att this park but unfortunately I have another reason to write a review. I took my puppy there yesterday 1/5/20 and it was attacked by a pitbull. My dog had to undergo surgery last night and has a puncture wound and laceration to his face and neck. The dog owner was not watching his dog nor read it’s before previous to the attack. He gave me a false phone number after agreeing to help me with the vet bill. I have nothing against the breed but I do have an issue with irresponsible and inadequate dog owners. I have photo and video of the seconds leading to the attack. Thankfully it wasn’t worse for my pup. This dong could have killed him. Please be aware of a stocky gray pitbull with a seat buckle style collar. I tried to report this but unfortunately you need the address of the dog owner for the police to handle the situation.

great park off the beaten path

I love this park! I recently moved here and all the sunny, hot, paved places were getting old quickly. Pinetree Park is set off the main thoroughfares and when we have gone it is usually empty or only 1-2 other people. There is a big dog run and a small dog run, and it's very shady. It's on a canal so there is a breeze. There are nice walking paths that sort of wander around the park. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars/bones is because the grass was pretty long (I am slightly paranoid of ticks, although I have never seen one in South Florida) and it had rained, so it was a little muddy in places. Also- free parking (unheard of in Miami Beach!)!! This is now on our weekly rotation of fun places to go. I have a 2 year old German Shepherd.
