DONT GO HERE - Uneducated Owners And Aggressive Dogs

I brought my 7 month old golden Retriever puppy here, very excited to find a nice park. We were there 1 minute before a medium sized dog began stalking my dog who was running around, he got so scared he ran in between my legs. The dogs owner didn’t say a word, I didn’t even know who the owner was. Within minutes the same dog was snapping at and bullying my dog while he laid there on the ground scared which was the breaking point that I left with my dog extremely upset and disappointed. The individuals at this park are the people I believe should take a test to own a dog. Pure ignorance and uneducated pet parents at its finest, I think the same people go to this park and believe they own it. THIS is how dog fights start and it’s sad that a nice park can’t be utilized by dogs who deserve it. Something needs to change.

Irresponsible dog owners and aggressive dogs

Wistnessed dog pinned and ganged up on while aggressive dogs bit her. No owner stepped in to help. Go at your own risk but the township should put controls around it

    Nice Dog Park

Lots of space to run, some shade, and most dog owners are quick to correct their dogs behaviors if needed. Only 4 stars instead of 5 because you have to bring your own water.

    Awesome dog park!

Love this park! There are two fences for added security. There are typically water bowls out but I bring my own. There are also sections for small and large dogs. I find that there are usually a fair amount of other dogs here which makes my pup very happy!

    My dogs love it here!

I have two small dachshunds who absolutely love going to Reynolds. There are always dogs to play with and most of the owners are watching their dogs so nothing gets out of hand.

    Dogs had a blast!

Thanks to the folks from the Pottstown area who mentioned the Pottstown Bark Park on this page. It's a shame because that would be much closer than Reynold's park. We made the trek for the first time, and I found the park to be well kept, and well used - the dogs had an absolute blast and we'll be going back. Like someone already mentioned - the lack of actual sitting areas cost it a "bone". I don't mind standing/walking around, and those who do, brought their own seating. Can imagine the lack of shade in summer will be brutal as well.

Great park with lots of dogs

We recently made our first visit to this park with our 1.5 year old puppy and will definitely be going back again. There were at least 5-10 other dogs in the enclosure at all times (Sunday afternoon) and there's plenty of room for the dogs to run. The only trouble we had was that many owners were bringing their small dogs into the large dog enclosure (usually along with a larger dog) which led to more dominance issues among the dogs than I think would have otherwise arisen, but nothing serious occurred. My husband and I have considered the Pottstown Bark Park (very near our house), but have never once seen a dog actually in the park since it's for paying members only. This park was further away, but worth the trip for the amount of socialization our dog got!

    Nice Park

I am from Pottstown and the recent floods knocked down the fence at the Pottstown Bark Park, so I was looking for another location. An Internet search found this one and the Reservoir Dogs Park in Phoenixville.

    Reynolds Dog Park:
Pros: Big, wide open. Great for running/playing. Plenty of dogs - must have been 10-15 when we were there on a Sunday morning.
Cons: Very minimal shade. No place to sit.

    Reservoir Dogs Park:
Pros: Big. Wooded/shaded. Benches to sit while the dogs play. 4-5 other dogs there when we visited (Sunday afternoon).
Cons: Wooded, not a lot of "open" space to run and play.

    Pottstown Bark Park:
Pros: Not as large as the previous two, but still plenty of room. Some shade and benches to sit.
Cons: You have to pay $25/year to get a key. Yes, the bark park is locked. I think for this reason it is not utilized as much. I saw more dogs in 1 day at the previous two parks than the TOTAL I have seen at Pottstown in 2 YEARS.

    Dog Park

Our dog loves it. Nice area for big and small dogs. Double fence for added security. Bring water and dishes.
