This is a great dog friendly ice cream spot right next to the Schuylkill river. They offer a free pup cup! Small cup with vanilla ice cream and a little dog biscuit. Also great ice cream and water ice options for humans! There is no where to go inside here. There is a covered area outdoors to sit with tables. There are also benches closer to the river to look out at the water. They have a parking lot for easy parking.

We visit this dog park weekly. Plenty of parking. It's part of a much larger park...so there are bathrooms, a playground, open grass, and water fountains in the close vicinity. There's a fenced area for big dogs (over 30 lbs) and small dogs. We like that there are benches and small trees for a little bit of shade. Waste bags and cans provided. Everyone has always been very friendly and I enjoy talking to the fellow dog owners. Since this is a popular park, there are always other dogs there and constant turnover.

I go to this dog park all the time as it’s the closest one to my house. I have never ever had an issue with the other dogs. I have a small dog so we always hang out in the small dog area. Pros: double gated, separate areas for small dogs, poop bags and receptacles available, there are also bathrooms for humans a few feet away, parking is easy and free
Cons: no where to sit inside the dog park (some people bring their own chairs), no water (though there is a water fountain over by the bathrooms), no shade in the little dog park
There are trails nearby to walk on and there’s a dog friendly restaurant, Fitzwater Station, close by.
