    Dogs allowed inside

Unlike Fort Ticonderoga, dogs are allowed everywhere at this colonial Fort, even the gift shop. The reason for 4 bones is because they were not warning dog owners of the musket and cannon demonstrations. It would be easy to visit outside the scheduled demonstrations, but our dog was fine, as I toured inside the fort buildings/exhibits with him during the weapon firings. I didn't take him up top as the surface was too hot that day. It was still worth visiting as we learned a lot. Parking was plentiful. Bring your own water and bowels as none were provided.
