    Go Gators Dog Park

Squirrel Ridge Park is a great stop when in Gainesville. Lots of space to run with benches in the shade of large oaks for the humans. The rinse off area has 2 kiddie pools shaped like dog bones and are wonderful for cooling off hot paws!

    Lots of fun

my chihuahuas used the small dog side. the large dog area looked nicer with some agility equipment for the pups to play on but I didn’t want to instigate anyone’s prey drive. we don’t ask for much, there was plenty of shade and I didn’t find any stray poop, but my dogs could fit through the gate openings into the large dog side and out of the fenced area entirely so I have to knock off a star

    Decent But Messy Park

Passing through town and stopped to let our dog stretch her legs. The large dog park is HUGE with water, plenty of shade and seating. Local dogs were well behaved and friendly. The humans, however, treat the park like a dump, there was dog poop everywhere!

Fun Pond In The Middle If The Park

We brought our two puppies here. We’ve been traveling this weekend and we needed them to get some exercise. We didn’t stay long because it was the early afternoon. There was a low area that was filled with water due to recent rains. They loved it.

    Depends On The Day

My dog loves this park but depending on the dogs there, we have to move him to the small dog area even though he’s a border collie. Lack of supervision and accountability is definitely the main issue at this park. Owners won’t remove their aggressive dogs and won’t respond when my sweet collie is being attacked. Basically, the issue is people knowingly bringing their intolerant and aggressive dogs to the park, not watching them, and doing nothing to stop them from attacking other dogs. I continue to go back but when my dog shuts down when getting attacked, I remove him from the situation. It’s just a pity that people are so grossly irresponsible!

    Great Space, No Supervision

I have only been to this park once and have neglected to return due to the gross lack of pet supervision. Many people bring their dogs to the park which is great but few were actually monitoring their dog's behavior. In the half hour I spent there with my dog many fights (of various breeds from large to small dogs) broke out, yet no one responded appropriately. The instigating dogs were never removed from the situation or taken aside to cool off. As for the space, it was a very large area with option for large and small dog areas. There were plenty of water options, benches to sit on, shady areas, and the place seemed fairly well kept and had hoses so you could clean your pet up. I would love to frequent this place more but I feel that safety is a huge factor especially with such a large number of dogs in an enclosed space. I just don't trust the lack of supervision on the owner's part and would not want to put me or my dog in a dangerous situation.

    Great dogs, Crap people

Seems like people treat this location as social hour and neglect to keep a watchful eye on their dogs. Have been breed-shamed each time which is odd for Gville being so Pit friendly. Nice Large area, Always packed with dogs, with Water areas/grass/sandy patches.

This place is huge! They have water everywhere and they separate the small dogs from the big dogs so you don't have to worry about your pup as much. It's fenced in which I awesome with plenty of places to sit as well!

    Big And Clean

The park is huge. It has two fenced in play areas. one for large dogs, and one for small dogs. There is also a large area to walk your dog while leashed. The park is clean. Dog owners seem to be good about picking up after their dogs. The only thing I was disappointed in was no pond or water area in the small dog area. I have a small Corgi and he loves to play in the water.

    fun park

Huge park, there's always dogs at this park! A lot of the smaller dogs go in the big dog side so there are a lot of dog fights that happen at this park so just keep an eye out. A lot of land not much shade. There's a small kiddie pool for the dogs to jump in and a lot of dirt for them to get dirty and dig. And if you're up to it go after its been raining for a few days in a row- it floods and the dogs love to swim and play in the water!

    largest dog park

This is the largest dog park I've seen. It has beautiful trees and plenty of room to run. Small ponds for dogs to romp around in. Only draw back is that it gets very busy.

    Fun Place

This park is very large and has lots of buckets for the poochies to drink from. If you come at dusk/dark, be sure to bring bug spray because mosquitoes come out in droves and the tall grass houses them and brown recluse spiders. Be sure to check yourself and your pooch!
I like that there are separate fenced spaces for small and large dogs, but some people choose not to use the small dog area so be aware of your pets!
