Nice view but no dogs allowed

The portion that allows dogs is just at the beginning in the campground. Once the real trail begins, no dogs are allowed. We still enjoyed ourselves.

    Be careful out there...

The dog trail portion is disappointingly short so my dog and I snuck onto the main trail once. None of the people we passed had a problem with my large dog and we really enjoyed the views. However, be advised that on the final portion of the hike we saw a mountain lion cross the trail only 30' ahead of us. Scary and WAY too close for comfort! Whether you're hiking solo or with your pooch, keep an eye out.

Dogs allowed in small area of park

You can only hike in about .25 mile before the real trail begins and NO DOGS are allowed. Plus parking is a rip off. Not good for dogs.

    hike

Not great for dogs. Only can go so far before the signs for no dogs. Also $7 to park. Would not recommend if you are looking for a hike with your dog.
