    Great Location

We travelled from Wisconsin with our dog and made the assumption that cocoa beach would be welcoming to our pup all day long-however there are very strict hours make sure to check them before heading to the beach with your pup! this park was a great opportunity for us to let her run while the rest of my family enjoyed the beach. would be better if it was overlooking the beach. In our case it was a great solution to a problem

    Happy Dogs

Took our two dogs in the cooler weather before 8:00 in the morning. We were by ourselves and the dogs had a great run. There are washrooms available but we didn’t use the. plenty of parking. This park is just north of 4th south where we soon enjoyed a walk on the beach until 10:00. Not a major issue but why don’t others clean up after their dogs?

    Love this park!

We love this park and the friends we’ve meet. this park is so much nicer than our hometown park! there are benches to sit on. there are lawn chairs to sit on. they have a pool and water to refill when the water gets to dirty. they have water bowls everywhere and lots of room for running. they also have lots of toys and balls and even a few ball thrower’s. our park at home has one picnic table that the dogs stand on. so nowhere to sit. one tree , the only shade. a water fountain buy the gate to come in and it’s hilly and rocky. you guys have it made! love, love, love!

    Good size, new grass but….

Some people don’t watch their dogs very well. Others don’t react if their dog is aggressive, don’t take responsibility or remove their dog that’s being aggressive. There are a lot of great regulars, and some that aren’t so great. Lately is been worse, don’t enjoy it like we used to, it’s a shame the selfish bad owners are dragging a beautiful park down to someplace no responsible owner would want to go to. Thanks guys.

Went today to find the area for big dogs is closed for maintenance. Can't find any more info online so thought I would share here.

    Cloudy Afternoon

Very chill location, overall ok. I went on a weekday afternoon and there were no other dogs here to play with sadly. It can get a little muddy, but hoses are available. There are a lot of dirty mismatched lawn chairs scattered all over the park when I went. Does not have any beach access, but down the road there is a limited dog-friendly beach. A good amount of space, not huge and not small.

    Very popular dog park

The popular time to go is either in the morning before it gets too hot (8am-10am) or afternoon when most people get off work (3pm-dusk). Those times will have the most dogs for your fur baby to play with.

Other dog owners are conscious of picking up after their pet, which is nice because nobody likes stepping in dog poop. The park recently got a new fence. And theres a hose to fill up the dog parks water bowls and pools.

    Not Bad

I wish the small dog side was a little bigger and also wish they had it closer to the beach. Overall not bad though!

    Clean Park With Dog Pools

This wasn’t a huge area but enough space for my 2 Golden’s to run. We were there during the day so not too many dogs to play with. They had a few dog pools and was perfect relief from the hot afternoon.

    Aggressive dogs

The park would be great but as soon as we tried to enter, a Bull Mastiff rushed the gate and attacked our Golden retriever. It’s iwner and his friend both said “It’s because your dogs have a leash on” which made no sense to us. We took her to the small dog area and were alone there with our dachshund. It’s a cool park but be careful.

    So near the beach...

The beach is just on the east side of the parking lot! The dog park is a chain linked area on the west side of the same parking lot. Surprised to discover the zero tolerance of dogs on these beaches.

    Has Potential

The park itself of fine but some of the owners are ridiculous. Some have taken to hanging out there all day, smoking under tree and treating the area like it's their personal backyard. Aggressive dogs beyond the normal "dog park" pecking order.

    Fence Anchor Must Be Fixed!

This dog park could be excellent ... but the fence's anchor line between the small dog area and the large dog area is completely unattached (Hurricane, maybe?). Any dog with half a braincell can figure out how easy it is to simply slip under to get to the other side - could be a diaster. The ground on both sides of the fence is your typical Florida sand, so it makes it that much easier for a dog to head to the other side.

This really is an issue that the park's dept. needs to address.

    Rude people

Unfortunately a couple of chain smokers have decided they rule this park. Heaven forbid you miss your dog pooping. They will yell at you or walk up to you to let you know., and not in a nice or friendly way. Of course it's against the rules to smoke in any Brevard County park and cigarette butts can be harmful to dogs if eaten. There are no smoking signs but they have been defaced. Watch out for the old man with the white Schauzers- he's the ring leader.

    Very nice and Friendly

I found this to be one of the better parks in the area... The people are friendly and there is always a nice group of dogs... I wish the little park was just a little bigger because my dog loves to run and play fetch and the area is a bit small to play ball. All in all this is by far one of the best parks in the area.

    Park has potential

Park has great potential if only some owners would watch their dog. Took my dog and could not get past gate as many dogs were circling my dog and barking jumping on growling at and the owners could not care a bit.

    Dog Owner

When I took my dogs to the Big Dog area, it was great. No smoking allowed, no aggressive dogs allowed, No Children Allowed, No food allowed.. This was a park for the dogs to play and rough house off leash and have a great time. There were chairl along the edge for dog owners.

    Absent. Employee, rude dog owners

Other occupant of the over 25 pin had three chows that were very aggressive. The two "workers" there were playing cards and clueless. Left without using the park. Don't waste your time.

    Small

Smaller park, but I guess it's as good as it's going to get around here. I can see it has the potential to get crowded quickly.

    Need dog beach

Florida sucks for dogs at the beach. Will boycott Cocoa Beach from now on.

    Lori Wilson Park

The "Big Dog" Area at Lori Wilson Park has shady play areas, large open areas for running around, a hose for fresh water, and couple of kiddie pools for cooling off and lots of chairs for 2 legged friends.
