The area is being renovated to create more space for the humane society. No new applicants are being accepted.

    Josie Loves It

My 45 pound 7 month old blonde mutt loves this place. There are regularly other dogs to play with, and even when there aren’t there’s a fully equipped agility course, tennis balls, and frisbees. The only negative is that sometimes when it’s rained my dog turns from blonde to dirt brown, but that’s nothing a bath won’t fix! She loves it. The park, NOT the bath.

    Great place

This is a super place for dogs and owners. Well designed and well run, lots of tennis balls from some member's tennis center, picnic tables for owners to socialize around in the shade. Good water supply. Large play area - it never seems crowded no matter how many dogs are there. My 20-lb bichon/poodle mix doesn't like charging around elbow-to-elbow with big dogs, so then we use the agility section for her (and often other small dogs). We play ball in there, or she likes jumping around on the agility stations, or maybe lying up on the platform to survey the world. .......... Parking is good. I'm retired, and don't live too far away, so I'm able to keep up with the shifting times when her friends are likely to be around. Even the squirrels in the trees are entertaining, of course. There's a low area that gets churned into mud so during mud season if we're not in the agility area we go back to the (north) side of the park which is less used. ....... It's a wonderful place - myself and the dog both think so. Membership requires proof of immunizations, of course, and very young puppies can't come. I believe day passes are available - worth checking on.

    Good

I've only been a few times since it is close to home. I have a small dog and no problems the times i have gone. I have actually gone when there is only one or two other dogs during the day and owner's are responsible for watching their dogs. There is water and a few bowls laying around and even some poop bags. No complaints except not a lot of other dogs for my dog. There is an inner fenced in space for agility training but my small dog can't even reach the first steps so this is better for bigger dogs.
