  Amazing!

  Took my young GSP and she absolutely loved it! she jumped right in the lake and spent nearly two hours just running and playing and swimming! People really take pride in this park and it shows…..kudos to Volusia County for such an amazing park!

  Excellent Park

  What a wonderful day with my two dogs at this park. We were on the small dog side. The expanse, rolling hill, water, other friendly dogs all made for a great afternoon.

  Best dog park EVER

  Great park with designated large and small dog areas and dog bathing station. Water for human and dogs. Large areas for our fur babies to roam and socialize. Our dogs absolutely love it. Nice hoomans too 😉

  Best Off-Leash Park!

  By far, the best off-leash dog park I've ever been to. My greyhound went absolutely bananas at this park yesterday, running and playing, he even shocked me by taking several dips in the lake... I had been convinced he was terrified of water! He had an absolute blast. It's gorgeous and spacious, great for dogs to get a good run in. What a fantastic find.

  This is by far the best dog park in central Florida. What I didn’t see in the reviews was the mention of the awesome grooming station. $10 gets you 10 min. Perfect after your pup does some swimming in the pond.

  Love this park after 5pm

  I go every 2 days (weather permitting) in the evening time after 5pm.
  If you go before 5pm you get to meet some nasty hateful pet owners and aggressive dogs, but after 5pm is the best people with great loving pets.

  I only give it a 4 out of 5 because of the mean hateful pets and their owners before 5pm.

  Enjoyable Place!

  Our dogs enjoyed our outing here. Very clean, large area with additional smaller fenced in areas for large or small dogs. Washroom facilities. Nice to sit on the benches while our dogs enjoyed the park.

  Best in Central Florida

  I scout dog parks for a dog club. THIS park, by far, is the best in Central and East Central Florida. It's clean, shady, lots of birds to keep the dogs engaged, a clean pond and no matter where you sit you can keep an eye on your dog. We'll be back, it's worth the 30 minute drive. the secret might get out though, which might drive up traffic, and drive down quality.

  My dog Brooklyn is in heaven in this beautiful park. relocating from South Florida to Central Florida, we have never seen anything like this. I can never get him to leave. The people are friendly and wonderful. The dogs are well behaved.

  Best dog park I have ever seen.

  Barkley square is so beautiful and peaceful. I go not only for my dogs but for myself also. It has a great walking area and the dogs and I get exercise. The best part is the park is free. The only other dog park that is this awesome is in Gainesville FL, but you have to join and pay yearly fees.

  WOW, best dog park we've ever seen

  We have nothing like this in CT. We were visiting family with our 4 Irish Red and White Setters. We wanted to give the dogs a good run. Someone mention Barkley Sq Dog Park. Were we ever surprised to see such a beautiful dog park, with a large pond no less. Our dogs love to swim, they were in the water a good 30 - 45 minutes before they stared getting tired. It was just what they needed, we have family with backyards here in FL that they've been running in, but nothing like Barkley Square. We found Barkley Square the last day before heading back up to CT. We can't wait for our visit next year so we can take them back.

  We are visiting DeLand for 2 months. So far we have been to Barkley Square every day! Its the nicest dog park we have ever seen! Big dog area has a fantastic pond for splashing and swimming!

  I love this park and try to stop here every time I'm in DeLand. It's a BIG park. Try it you'll love it. And by the way I have never met a mean person here...only loving pet owner!!!

  gorgeous park!

  We make a special trip just to come to this park! It's HUGE! Theres so much land for the dogs to run and a pond in the middle for them to swim in. Although I've never seen any gators just keep an eye out for them.

  Great park

  We took our greyhound to this park while we were visiting our son. This is great park with lots of room for your dog to run and explore. The pond is great if you have a water loving dog. They have a dog wash station too which is great because of the sand and pond. You have to pay for the fancy wash station but there is also a rinse off one near the water fountains.
  The only reason I gave it a four is because people bring little dogs into the big dog area. Our greyhound is very well behaved but has a tendency to knock over small dogs.

  My three dogs love this place. We have been there everyday for a week now. It is worth the 45 min drive. The park is beautiful .

  Great until...

  I brought n husky here and it was freat at first. The pond is awesome he loves to swim. Then my dog goes to play with these 2 dogs next to their owner and she starts kicking him in the face and hitting hin and screaming at me saying hes attacking them and i cant control him even though he was JUST PLAYING. What normal dogs do. He is very loving. I will nevr go back after that.

  Wish I could rate it higher than a 5.I'd give it a 10!
  We drive 26.5 miles each way 3 times a week to tae our Pointer there. It's worth the drive. We've been to dog parks all over Florida and out of State. This is the best! The Dog Parks in the Daytona area are pathetic.

  I take my Jack Russells to this park when I go visit my daughter in Deland. Best Dog park I have ever been to. The dogs run until they are exhausted.

  Awesome Dog Park

  My whole family loves this park. There is plenty of room for lots of dogs to play together. Our dog loves to swim in the lined pond. I recommend it to anyone with a dog. Friends from Daytona and Leesburg drive the distance to come to the park on a regular basis. It's worth the drive.

  Great place! Dogs loved it (14 year old mixed breed and 5 month old Amstaff) - great facilities, and ours really liked retrieving in the pond. Nice shady spots to rest in, too. Dog owners from all over were there - totally worth the drive!

  this is the best dog park I have ever seen, there is seperate areas for smll and large dogs with plenty of room to run and play, there are plenty of benches, clean rest rooms and a dog wash area. I take my dog there about once a month because its about a half hour ride, but its well worth it.
