- JessieOct 11, 2024Amazing off leash!
This is hands down the best off leash location I’ve been to! So much space, trails, beer, lakes, shade… what can I say? There was a lot of happy panting, barking and tail wagging!
Saw this on another post and it’s accurate: after paying the entrance fee, take the first left (gravel road) and keep driving until you see the off leash signs… then keep driving. It’s the parking lot at the very end! $10/ dog. Beverages can be purchased at the same time!

Parking was $12 for a quick visit, but it was worth it for the outdoor experience. The US National Whitewater Center offers a variety of activities, including hiking trails, dog-friendly patios at the eateries, and plenty of spots to watch the rafters. Our older dog got tired and overheated quickly, but we managed to find a shaded area to relax after walking the loop.
- ChristineJul 15, 2024This place is amazing but a bit hard find once past the gate.
We loved this! The website gives great directions about going to the South parking lot but on the main road in after we paid at the entrance there was no sign to turn off the main road. The south parking if the first left you can make after the main entrance, after that lots of signs to Off Leash. We were there for 2+hours, hiked and let our dog swim. The beer is nice! And I also bought a dog beer which my dog loved.

It was great. My dog loved it. So much room for him to roam. So many cool activities to do. Also the food was way better than I thought it would be.
- JoeMore than a year agoGreat trails w/ variety but need shoulders.
Great trails w/ variety but need clearings to escape the bikers. Especially around blind curves. I try to look before I get in one of these blind spots but bikes can come up on you pretty fast. I'm sure the bikers would agree. Great place!

The whitewater center is dog friendly! You can hike, kayak, and enjoy the riverside bar with your canine friend!
- EveMore than a year agoWatery fun
We visited in January on a very mild day with 70F temperatures. There was no rafting but still plenty of people on the ziplines and enjoying a bit of unseasonally warm weather. The trails are pet friendly with plenty of doggie amenities. Next time my pup will have to enjoy a bit of kayak time!
