West Orange Trail

The West Orange Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Winter Garden! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the West Orange Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com. Long Trail, Varying Amenities

The previous reviewer is correct, the trail is best known locally as a biking trail.

However, depending on where you park along the trail, which spans ~10 miles, there are trash cans and doggie stations, even water fountains.

I'd recommend starting in downtown Winter Garden, downtown Oakland, Chapin Park Station, or Killarney Station for the best pup accommodations.

Just remember that on the weekends LOTS of people use the trail, and by around 9AM things can get busy, especially at the above listed locations. On Saturdays for example, there is a farmer's market in downtown Winter Garden until about 1 pm.

Great for bikes not for dogs

This is a bike trail not meant for dogs. Right by the street with lots of experienced bikers riding past. No dog stations.
