Walt Whitman Trail
The dog-friendly Walt Whitman Trail is a historic hike at West Hills County Park that will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido in Melville, NY. Aside from the moderate climb to the 400-foot Jaynes Hill, this hike is relatively flat. Horses also frequent this park; you should watch out for them as you hike.
