    Quiet dog beach

as some have said, it’s got a lot of seaweed, (look for jellyfish that washed up in it- not a lot, but I’m hyper cautious) and careless people leave garbage but it’s not crowded and the water is calm (no ‘waves’). you can find a sandy part that is semi private if you prefer to stay away from others. it may not be for everyone, but it’s my favorite. and there is a great dog-friendly restaurant across the street. The only reason I didn’t give 5 bones was the seaweed but everything has a trade off and I’ll take this one over anything else.

    Dirty and small

Was very excited to try this park out. the “beach” area is extremely small (maybe 10 feet deep) and the water is filled with sticks, rocks, and dirt. Every tide is just filled with muck and small sharp sticks/rocks which got stuck in my doodles hair.

    Perfect for Pups

Beaches are only just reopening after COVID closures, but I was pleasantly surprised to stumble on this dog beach with my little guy. There is some trash, but where there are humans--there is trash. I use my pup's poop bags to pick up trash on our daily walks anyway, at least here we both can enjoy the sand and water off-leash. Arrive before 9-10am to get a free parking spot and a place to lay your towel in the shade under the palms. Today there is some sargassum near the water line, but not in the water itself. No surf, crystal clear water, fine sand, minimal rocks. To me, this is pretty damn close to paradise within the continental U.S.

    No to far from Miami

Relaxing place.... Nice to be with our dog to relax over there. It was difficult to find a place to Park as it was crowded on hollidays. The water is clear, but a little bit rocky as we enter. Then the sand was soft and after we saw grass in the water. Lovely day. I wish more beaches could be open for dogs in the Area.

    Good/Bad

This beach is the perfect example of maybe. There are days where the water is flat and perfect for my dog to enjoy a relaxing swim and chase the seagulls. Then there are days where the seaweed washed up on shore is ridiculous and practically covers the shore to where you cant even get your feet wet without stepping through what feels like muck and slime. Not to mention the people that usually stay here love to leave their beer bottles everywhere and dont pick u their trash. I find it best personally to go just before sunset around 3-4 on week days when its less crowded. or my favorite days that seem to be overcast and cloudy. people stay away and the beach is basically to yourself. miami residents will never go to the beach if there is so much as one grey could in the sky. It also beats a really long drive up to Hollywood dog beach which costs you like 20$ just to park and get in. This one is free :]

    Fun day out

When we went there wasn't any trash laying around. I found a nice shaded area away from the crowd and my doggy could go out and enjoy the waves. Definitely a fun place to hang out with your fur babies.

Nice dog beach, but seen dog abuse

We'd go here once in a while, enjoy watching dogs on the water! Unfortunately, I have seen a dog owner kick and beat his dogs with a wood. This man ties his dogs (big ones, 4 of them i think) if anyone walks a little further , he'd pull and kick each one really hard! Heart breaking! 😢

    Nice beach but....

We had a good time, however my doggies and I spent more time at the sidewalk......nice beach but full of seaweed and trash so we didn't stay very long.

    Dirty Dissapointment

was here in January and very pleased, great dog beach, so i was excited to revisit after relocation to Miami from the midwest. Serious disappointment, its dirty, garbage everywhere, overgrown algae and it even smells terrible. No excuse

    Friendly Beach & Friendly Pets

I was very pleased to find this spot. Beach is clean and plenty of palm trees to sit under. Dogs loved it and everyone was friendly. It's not a beach that has a lot of signs showing its a dog beach but essentially once you pay the toll it's the first beach on your right before the bridge. Great place and great fun. Remember to keep the pooches well hydrated.

truly sad the no ones cares

Is a great park to bring your dog the problem is that no ones care , 80% of the people coming to this beach don't pick after themselves and leave a big mess , we approach few people and encourage them to keep the park clean that way we won't lose the privilege , some people took it the right way some just don't care and show not respect , is like everything else in this world some people care some people don't and look like is really nothing the you can do ,just please if you care just pick after yourself and do the best you can to encourage your friends and those you know , make a point showing some people the you care is all you can do

    Paradise

I went over the bridge and park on the right side by the traffic light. Beach was clean, friendly dogs were off leash & no one cared. Sand was plentiful & there were palm trees providing shade. ????????????

    only dog beach around

yes the beach is a little dirty, bits it's the only dog beach around. There are areas that are cleaner than others so move there. I took my 2 year old lab and 4 month old puppy and we had a great time. It's an incredible experience for the dogs. There is a really nice lady that sells food and drinks at the beach ( 2 dollar water bottles) so just make sure to take cash for the toll and water. I definitely recommend this place,

    great dog beach

we go to the part where dogs are supposed to be on leashes but no one cares. Everyone brings their dogs to the beach here. One you go over the bridge, pull into one of the parking lots on the right. My havanese absolutely loves this beach. He loves swimming and the fact that it is pretty shallow most of the time makes it better. The only problem is trash on the beach and people leave chicken bones in the sand.

    No respect

The beach was renovated two years ago, we were so happy about ity. Now it starts again that the people leave a lot trash behind even there are plenty of trash cans around. I would love to ticket them with $ 500. Maybe they learn to respect the nature, shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We bring our little dog too. We do clean up after our little doggie made his business. A shame to the dog owners, which do not respect that. I see a lot dog abuse, the dogs gets hitted and kicked, the dogs get NO DRINKING WATER and have to sit oon the hot sun. There is no police around to report this dog abuser??
We really hope that this matter will be taken serious!!!

Off Leash Fun For My Dog

This is an excellent off leash dog park in my opinion. The dogs can play in the water and on the beach. There are people on the beach without dogs, who may not understand that this is a dog beach, but it was friendly when I was there. Excellent parking. Short walk from the parking to the beach, and the beach was at least 80 feet of sand between parking lot and water with palm trees for shade and a fantastic view of the bay.

    Very Disappointed

The sand area is very short from the parking lot to the water, maybe about 15 to 20 ft. As soon as you get out of your car, you're practically already at the coast. Not a lot of space to move around; dog has to be leashed; lots of big rocks around; no picnic area or bbq grills allowed. This beach is not a good place to take your family and your dog for fun in the sun and it's definitely not worth the drive. However, it is very secluded most of the time, you're not limited to only the weekends, and you only pay $1.50 at the toll to key Biscayne
