Riviera Oaks Dog Park

The Riviera Oaks Dog Park in Holly Hill is a haven for your pet that allows Fido to romp with other dogs in a fenced setting that's surrounded by natural beauty. This pet-friendly park provides an area where dogs can be free from the leash, while enjoying a source of fresh water that is provided by the park. Owners must clean up after their pets, although the park does provide garbage cans and doggie bags for that purpose, making it very convenient. Visit Website

    Dirty, Dangerous, Smoking

This place is filthy. The small dog area wreaks of rancid urine, people do not pick up their dogs poop, I would NEVER let my dog drink out of those community water bowls filled with dirt and leaves and who knows what else, and people are smoking cigarettes while their dogs play. It's not a healthy atmosphere to say the least. The pond is nice to walk around although people let their dogs off leash there as well. This would be my very last choice in dog parks. I don't feel like it is safe for my dog. Also many people have abandoned their dogs in this park. It's a sad place to visit as far I am concerned. The ymca has a nice dog park, and central park is a beautiful place to walk your dog. Not a fan.

    Great Dog Park!

after being cooped up in a small hotel room for two days in one of the least pet friendly areas, Daytona Beach, we found this little gem for our big chocolate lab to stretch and relax. it is a beautiful, shaded area with seating. it is rustic and your dog could get dirty. our girl just walked and sniffed and enjoyed her freedom. we will definitely remember this place!

    Large park with friendly people

This is my go-to dog park in the area. The fenced in area is huge and the people are very friendly. It is busy enough that your dog will have plenty of other dogs to play with!

    DIRTY AND DANGEROUS

People don't pick up their dogs waste. Homeless people obviously live under a nearby shelter (why).

    😍🐾🐶👍🏻

I have been bringing my dogs to this park for 5 years now, and I still love it. There are actually 3 options here for your dogs. They have your typical big run/small run areas - but also a pavilion area that is basically a free for all. I have a Big and small dog, so I tend to use the big dog area the most, but like every dog park there are bullies once in a while, so it’s nice that they have the quieter pavilion area to retreat to.
With that said - this is a dog park, and when in a pack environment, dogs will behave like dogs. Needless to say I’ve witness a few unruly animals try to take over, but the situations are more often than not handled immediately and appropriately by the owners. If once in a blue moon you get those owners who just might not know how to properly correct their dogs, just take them to the pavilion area.
Overall this park is a wonderful place with wonderful people and dogs. Please don’t let bad reviews deter you from seeing for yourself.

    Awesome

We stopped on the long drive from NJ to the Florida Keys. The park is beautiful. Our Great Dane loved stretching her legs here.

my pups ???? this dog park!!

We are going to the park today and our pups can't wait to see new pups! We've been there before in October 2014, and it has room to play, fresh drinking water, and puppies that like to play!

    Park is dirty and dangerous

This park is a health risk to humans and pets alike. There are homeless persons living in the woods around the park and they throw their trash everywhere and will back up to trees and relieve themselves, #2, against the trees. Then wipe their hands on the trees! It is a helth hazard for animals and people. The mess attracts large numbers of racoons that have potential to carry rabies. There is also rusty steel scrape in the woods that is dangerous to everyone.
I tried to take my small dog for a walk around the pond last summer and met up with two different individulals with large dogs, both of which wher off of leads. I was reassured by the owners of those large dogs that "my dog won't hurt your little dog". Why was I supposed to trust them? I carried my dog. Also the one person was letting their retriever jump and swim in the pond chasing the water birds. Pittiful!
I will not take my dog to this park and we live within walking distance.

    A decent spot!

This park is in a nice shaded area! Visited for the first time and found that it would be a good place for dogs that entertain themselves. Many owners didn't allow their dogs to be playful, but maybe that was just this particular experience. I was warned that fleas are commonly found in the in the long grass which is a good portion of the park. Also, the pond next to the fenced in area has snakes and alligators so don't bring your dogs there to swim! Not the best place, but not the worst.

    decent park

Not my favorite park but still a decent park to visit to change things up. Very shaded park, but a lot of dirt. My dog always leaves filthy.

    Aggressive dog

Went to try out this park with my chihuahua and black lab. It was absolutely beautiful. However, when I went to enter the big dog park I was met by a very aggressive dog snarling and baring its teeth. Not on your life would I enter. The owner was sitting rather far away and paying no attention. We left as it also started snarling and trying to get through the little dog fence to go after the little dogs. Does anyone watch the park or settle issues like this?

    Riviera Oaks Dog Park OPEN

This great dog park is the best in the area with lots of shade, water stations, and benches for the 2 legged folks. This park was reported closed and it did temporarily, but it is now permanently open and operated by Volusia County and the Friends of Riviera Oaks Park. WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

One of nicest, largest and most shaded dog parks in eastern Volusia. Beautiful dog parks, and scenic trails around the perimeter, along with a large pond.

I took my puppy (Beagle) to all the dog parks in the area - Deland, New Smyrna Beach, Palm Coast and others and found the one in Holly Hill the nicest. Good space for a dog - big or small to run, chase squirrels, and interact with other dogs!
We need to give the group working to keep the park all our support.

    Love it

Whenever we visit this area we take our dogs there, just to let them walk around free. They love it!
