Avila Beach Avila Beach is the smallest of the beaches in Avila & Port San Luis Harbor and its called dog beach by the locals. No matter what time of day it is, you will more than likely find dogs running free through the surf. The Port San Luis Harbor District currently allows well behaved dogs to be off the leash anytime on this beach and Olde Port Beach. Pet Friendly Pismo Beach State Beach
Pismo Beach State Beach This is one of the few state beaches in California that allows you to camp at the state campground (we stayed at North Beach loop) and take your dog on the beach provided he stays on the leash. There are short coastal walking trails along the sand & you're a short walk from the town of Pismo which is very dog friendly. See Details

Montaña de Oro State Park Dogs are allowed at Montaña de Oro State Park, where stunning cliffs, beaches, coastal plains, streams, canyons, and hills dominate the landscape. Fido can join you at the pet-friendly picnic areas, campsites and park roads, but is not permitted to wander on the beaches or trails. Olde Port Beach Olde Port Beach is pet-friendly. This popular beach welcomes dogs to play off-leash in the Port San Luis Harbor District. This is the first beach you will find after crossing the bridge out of Avila and into Port San Luis. It has parking along the road and a ramp down to the sand. The beach is accessible all the time, but lifeguards are seasonal. See Details
Olde Port Beach Olde Port Beach is pet-friendly. Pups can wander freely on this dog beach. This stretch of sand is enclosed on each end by a cliff, so pups can’t get too far. You can drive your car down the boat ramp to drop off kayaks and what not, then park back on the street. Bathrooms are clean and dogs have their own drinking fountain. See Details
Pismo Beach Pier Pismo Beach Pier is pet-friendly. Although dogs are not permitted on the pier, leashed pups are welcome to join you for a leashed stroll along the sand. The 60-acre regional beach, pier and promenade includes restrooms, sand showers, volleyball courts, children's play equipment, benches, drinking fountains and many ocean recreation opportunities are available.
