Point Isabel Regional Shoreline Dog Park Point Isabel Regional Shoreline is pet-friendly. With over 23 acres to explore off-leash, the park welcomes over half a million dogs every year. The park also offers a variety of recreational options including bay fishing, hiking, birdwatching, biking, and jogging. Any person allowing their animal to be off leash must carry a leash (six-foot maximum), keep their dog or other animal under voice control and within sight at all times, clean up after their dog, immediately leash any dog showing aggressiveness, and prevent dogs from digging or otherwise damaging park resources. Alston Park This is a large nature preserve with an enclosed area for dogs to run free. The enclosed area has some agility equipment, lots of balls to throw, a large water pan with running water, and a double entry system to ensure the safety of all dogs going in or out. A large portion of the park is off leash for dogs under good voice control. Dog waste bags are freely provided, as are numerous cans to put the waste into. There also is another large portion of the park that is restricted to dogs on leash only, however, most people ignore the leash requirement. This is an awesome park to walk with your dogs!
