Fairport Harbor Dog Beach ***Due to recent shoreline erosion, access to the lake for dogs is closed for the safety of both pets and their owners.*** Fairport Harbor Dog Beach is pet-friendly. A dog swim area is located at the east end of the beach between the two signs clearly marked “Dog Swim Area.” This is the only place dogs are allowed on the sand. Dogs not in the swim area must remain on the sidewalks, parking lots or grassy areas. You must leash your dog when it is out of the water and you must carry the leash with you at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up pet waste. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather and any warnings, as the beach is not always accessible. See Details
